Got my fingers crossed that Bunkley is fine.
Gallery’s a chump.
Elvis and Von combined for ONLY 3.5 sacks?! :P … Looked like a lot more in live action; our defense was allll over Jackson.
That tip by Champ was a thing of beauty too. Glad to see Woodyard step it up after DJ was knocked out.
Two beautiful drives after a shaky few drives. Need to eliminate the slow starts.
Can’t wait for Week 1.

Like pretty much everyone else, I'm also anxious for that season opener.
But I sure wouldn’t want to be at any of the games. The Sunday night, nationally televised, games in particular. Can you imagine what security will be like? All those NFL games being played in sold out stadiums on the 10th anniversary of 9/11? Terrorists love doing things on the anniversary of their previous activities, and I sort of wish the NFL would have moved the opening weekend back to the 18th. Maybe they could eliminate the bye weeks this year if necessary to keep the schedule on track.

Yeah, I think it seemed like more than 3.5 sacks because they were in the backfield on every pass play. I was lovin’ it, too.

There was pressure on every pass play, though. That's exactly what we need. The opposing QB running for his life and throwing balls away.
And there were 5 sacks total by the D: Von got 2, Doom got 1.5, Jarmon got 1, and Woodyard got the other half sack with Doom.

I hate to do this but......
…..I actually like Doyel’s article at CBSSports today…about NFL teams constantly drafting running/improvising QBs and trying to make them pocket passers instead of what makes them unique talents. So, sigh, here’s the link.

also without saying anything more
that might start something in the thread…I agree with the article.
Doyel has good ideas
at times, oops I’m going to hell now for saying this on MHR!

Meh . . .
You can’t change the entire offensive scheme and personnel to fit the style of the QB, just because the previous regime wasted a 1st round draft choice. It’s like making a bad investment and then throwing good money after bad.
