Bunkley is the key

Team him with Vick and Ayers and we’ll be okay vs. The run. Bunk is one of the strongest players ever at the NFL combine, 44 reps at 225.

by RockyMountainThunder on Sep 10, 2011 7:48 AM MDT via mobile reply actions

Yup. If Bunk plays we should be in good shape in the rotation up the middle.

And the Raiders are definitely a team we want to be strong up the middle against.

Now if we can make sure we don’t get slaughtered by McFadden on screens.

Thomas lookin like he might make it after all

but after missing all of TC it might still be wiser to start Vick, since he wont be as rusty

Sorry this is late

The Raiders have been practicing at night in preparation for this game. They haven’t been releasing their Injury Reports until very late. John Fox decided to withhold his so they wouldn’t have the advantage of knowing the Broncos plans before their practice.

Not your fault KK, nothing you or Fox can do about it...

Hue Jackson and team have to perform a séance to wake Al Davis. A demon like this requires multiple Ouija boards, and several practitioner’s need to focus on channeling mediums.

Since they are not sure what form Al Davis will take, they sprinkle garlic around themselves, arm themselves with shotguns and silver bullets, and call a priest in; in the event an exorcism needs to be performed.

Alas, it is a lengthy process, thus we have to respect this and allow the time needed to perform the raiders evening rituals.

I believe they are bringing him along slowly

Remember, he just started practicing again.
I didn’t hear of any setbacks from any of the beat reporters and they would have definitely said something about that.

I hope we just keep him out for the game

I don’t want us to be ‘penny wise and pound foolish’ with an injury like his.

Well, the chart lists him as out.

I think they have made the same assessment as you.

by idahobronc on Sep 10, 2011 11:49 AM MDT up reply actions

Hope you are right

And that was my thought. I really like the Broncos WR corps, even without Demaryius, but with him they will be scary.

I thought...

Jacoby Ford was hurt for Oakland…. or is he healthy enough to the point of not being mentioned on the injury report?

by Triz06 on Sep 10, 2011 8:36 AM MDT reply actions

He must be healthy enough because they didn't list him

Nice to know

that Broderick Bunkley should play, he is our MVP for the time being as far as I’m concerned. GO BRONCOS!!!

I was hoping we'd see Marcus Thomas on Monday

I favor the idea of protecting him if he’s not ready, but our rotation at DT is 2 #1s and 2 #3s:

  1. Brodrick Bunkley (returning from knee injury) and
    Kevin Vickerson

with #3s
Ryan McBean and
Mitch Unrein

Scary!

Against this backyard OLine? Why would we need him?

Bunkley will draw double-teams, Ayers may have a great game at DE and Miller will have to watch for the screens…No problem.

by bfree2bronc on Sep 10, 2011 7:20 PM MDT up reply actions

These guys need rest to stay fresh

so I’m underwhelmed with knowing that Unrein and McBean are in rotation. I sure hope they both won’t be on the field at the same time!

Backyard OL?

If I remember right, the raiders were the number 2 rushing team last year. Amazing running backs, or was that ranking referring to defecation?
