Enough Already...Waaah..Waaah, i got sand in my.....
OK, i read MHR every day a couple times a day, this is my first post on this site, been a avid supporter for a few years now, I have enjoyed reading all the bronco news on this site daily espescially being from Hawaii hard to get bronco coverage....but enough is enough.......TEBOW, ORTON, TEBOW, ORTON, TEBOW, ORTON, QUINN, TEBOW, ORTON.....Really Folks......I for one grew up a bronco fan my whole life, supported Norris Weese, Craig Morton, Steve Deberg, that guy who wore #7, Kubiak, Griese, Plumber, and even Jay Cutler while he was wearing blue and orange.....because I am a bronco Fan......Waaa...Waaa...Waaa....Tebow this Orton that....I for one cant handle anymore.....I know the points both sides make.....Guess what....I dont give a SH*T, why......because, i jsut want my beloved broncos to put a better product on the field and continue to grow into a superbowl champion again, everyone on here knows its a 3 year rebuilding project that EFX has to fix after boy wonder almost ruined our franchise...so exercise some patience and relax....the glass may not be half full yet but its getting more orange and blue Kool aid in it every week. So Please Haters and supporters of whoever the darn QB is, just STH up......already because guess what somebody has to start....if we were the experts we would be getting paid by Bowlen,,,guess what we aren't....so please keyboard quarterbacks and bronco fans support who ever is under center and cheer the broncos not the player.....better days are in our future we are on the right track dont derail the train with your constant mumbling, bumbling stumbling about who should start.....as fans we need to be united as bronco fans, I dont want to see this great site lose a bunch of followers because this had turned into TEBOW VS ORTON....last time i checked this is a site about the broncos not the TEBOWS or the ORTONS....by the fans for the fans......lets move on already from the bad game we had last week and get ready for the bungles.....we have beat that QB Horse to death....time to beat up on a cat.......GO BRONCOS.......

thank you for posting this
I have been trying to tell some (not all) people in comments who cares who is QB for denver but they seem to want whats best for Tebow not the Broncos. I dont care if jamarcus russel is the QB, as long as we WIN.
If we were winning behind Orton,
I wouldn’t care who the QB was. But to say it doesn’t matter who the QB is? Bottom line. I firmly believe we win with Tebow behind center. I’m a Bronco fan over a Tebow fan (yes, I will be here long after Tebow is gone), I feel Tebow gives us a better shot to win.
I don’t know if we would be winning if Tebow were in, but I know we aren’t winning with Orton. I know our team is weak enough that a game manager isn’t going to get the job done. We need a QB who can carry a team occasionally. Maybe that’s Tebow, maybe not. Why the heck wouldn’t we find out?

That sums it up pretty succinctly....
Good response Kgrone
Our team is weak enough
That is the point. There are sooo many ways and opertunity for this team to improve that flushing the season down the drain to switch horses at the position of least problem sounds pretty narrow sighted. McCoy has his hands full trying to coach up a running game and blocking scheme – he does not need the added burden of trying to blend in an inexperianced QB no matter how high the out potential is.
i like Tebow too
but the Broncos come first if he cant throw then i dont want him as QB

What evidence do we have that he can't throw?
His QB rating was very good for a rookie in his first 3 starts last year. He had a 108 rating in the preseason. I’m sick of people saying Tebow can’t play just because he can’t, when they have nothing but some MSM talking heads to back them up.

You know what's crazy?
Me, a Bronco fan and sworn Raider hater, seeing that R8RFAN1 has probably the best perspective on the game that I’ve seen on these boards. Most Bronco fans here are in Hyperactive Chicken Little mode. It’s absolutely silly to melt down the way so man Bronco fans have on these boards. Yes, the game sucked and there was blame to go around, but it was one game. Have you never watched an entire season before? Never heard the phrase “Any Given Sunday?” To lump this Broncos team summarily in with the failures of the past after just one game is well beyond a knee jerk — its flat out panic.

I call Bull....
We struggle in the redzone, struggle to score at all, and Orton looks like he has for two years (arguably much worse). At what point does it become okay? Two years not enough? When is it okay for us to call for a QB who gives us a better shot? At what point does it seem crazy to put Orton out there over and over and over when he gives us the same product over and over and over? (hint: it’s not wins).

How do you know Tebow gives us a better shot?
I think a consistent 100 yard rusher gives us a far better shot. Give me that rusher and I would be willing to bet that Orton, Quinn or even Tebow can deliver 10 wins this year. We continue to rush for 30 yards a game and Luck will be our starting QB next year.
I don't know.
I’m willing to bet he does, though. I’d love to have a 100 yd rusher. Nobody is going to be that behind our Oline. Orton struggled behind a porous Oline. Orton is a great QB if you can give him 5-7 secs on every play. We can’t do that.
Tebow is more mobile, and is far superior at avoiding pressure, and escaping the grasp of defenders. Maybe he would be an improvement, maybe not, but why wouldn’t we give him a shot. Obviously we are not going to win many games with Orton. He doesn’t have the team he needs to pull it off.

I don't see it as obvious
What really got me going yesterday was waking up with the realization that we have made improvements from last year …. and then to come on here and see all the Teboners ripping apart our team just to see their guy start. We had a lot of mistakes on Offense that had nothing to do with Orton. A lot of these mistakes are easily fixed with practice, time and coaching. We are not remaining static with this offensive line – they will hit the film room with everyone else and be on the practice field. They are a very young line so you can expect them to improve as the season goes on. Simply eliminate the false start penalties and we have a different outcome. Holding penalties are a little harder, but a couple of those calls were totally bogus. Kyle had 4 fumbles last year – not great but not something I worry about game to game. The sky is not falling.
I felt very much like I was watching those snake oil commercials – you know the ones where they invent and then overblow some imaginary problem so they can sell you some magic ‘cure’ for $19.95 that consists of water and food coloring. The problems complained of were mostly not there at all, and the ones that were there were blown so far out of proportion as to become ridiculous.
Give the baby a bath, but take him out of the tub before you throw out the bath water.
haha Teboners
can i get credit for that? i posted it a bunch in one comment which was deemed offensive and promptly removed. but now it seems an acceptable term! thaaaats awesome.
Its One game, sure Orton wasnt so good. it was a sloppy game on both sides of the ball. defense look improved (If only they were playing tag football cause DMF would have been stopped for a loss plenty) they kept a lot of points off the board for the raiders. had to settle for short field goals after having been given a short field. the season still has 15 games in it. 15-1 until we arent! its waaay to early to lose hope.

See someone is using it as a screen name
If its good enough for him/her then no one should take offense (other than the offense intended). Certainly would not want to deprive you of the credit due … use of the term ‘Teboner’ courtesy of veggiezaffer!

So the crux of your argument
if I’m reading it correctly, is that Orton is who he is and it doesn’t matter who or what system the put around him. He’s just not good enough to be the Broncos QB, period. Is that right?
If so, I hear you. And I’m not disagreeing over the course of a two year window.
However, taken as a single game (and I do believe that’s a more fair, accurate and meaningful way to judge him), it was a mediocre performance (with some true negative and positive spikes). I dislike the idea of only seeing it one way (only the things he did wrong). He did some positive things, too.
Further, the team has made a commitment to him right now. To pull him right now would show them (the team) as panicking. That kind of attitude can spread like wildfire and absolutely decimate a team’s morale. Understanding leadership means being unpopular sometimes in the immediate for the (potential) of being seen as better in the long term. I fully perceive that point of view as a gamble in its own right as, if the long-term plan doesn’t work out, the entire line of thinking will (and should) be brought into question.
So there’s my bottom line — it’s more nuanced of a situation than many I see here are trying to make it out to be.

Hey
Umm, you do realize you can write a post about something else right? You’re sick of the whole Tebow vs Orton thing, but you go and write a post about it? Go ahead, be the solution not the problem.
you missed the whole point...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hfYJsQAhl0
and Idaho bronc…I know i dont have to read the articles on tebow vs orton but seems there is nothing else lately that is my point. isnt it ironic, i write a post about the enough of Tebow Orton debate and the thread just turns into another one…….not here to get into a flow of urunation contest with any of you guys, just stating an opinion like everyone else…bottom line we are all bronco fans with many differences, and your right this is the best blog on the planet
"its not the size of the dog in the fight...its the size of his teethmarks in your azz"
Dude
it’s an internet blog……..ok the best internet blog on the whole planet. People come here to discuss their opinions. If you don’t like the Tebow vs Orton talk, then don’t read it!

In my opinion
its not the Tebow vs Orton thing that everyone is tired of hearing. Its how people love Tebow and want him and only him as the QB. If he cant make the throws then he shouldnt be the QB. and whether or not he can make those throws is in question. I sure dont want a QB who cant throw starting.

Going after writing style points now?
I’ll keep that in mind.
