Tebow: Donate The Money To Charity

Tim Tebow has always been a class guy.  Whether you think he should be starting at quarterback for the Broncos or not, he usually takes the high road.  It was no different when asked about the Billboard that fans are trying to purchase in Denver, calling for him to take over at quarterback for Kyle Orton.

Tebow, as is his norm, took the high road when asked about the fans chanting his name:

"Well, I guess I appreciate the support, you know, but we got people in charge here that we trust and (I) trust they're going to do the right thing," Tebow said.  He also had a better idea for the $10,000 it would take to put up the billboards being proposed by so-called members of 'Broncos Nation".

Tebow said he'd rather they donate the $10,000 to his charitable foundation.

"That's a good idea, man," Tebow said.

Which leads me back to the fans that are leading the cause.  I don't know about you - maybe it's just me - but we are BRONCOS COUNTRY, not Broncos Nation, Broncos State, Broncos Town or any other iteration of fan community that might be out there.  We are BRONCOS COUNTRY!

When I first heard of the plot to raise money for a Billboard I was afraid it would be nothing more than an attention grab for the people behind it.  The fact that they are Kentucky meant little to me since, well, I'm not exactly located in the 303 area code.

The idea has worked - the guy responsible has been all over the news.  His statement earlier today, in which he referred to fans as 'Broncos Nation' told me all I need to know.

You can, by all means, support the cause if you see fit.  But please let these fans know we are BRONCOS COUNTRY!
