a middle of the pack game managing qb. I know what Fox is known for, and that people don't think he wants a dynamic QB. I wonder if we have lost sight of the fact that Fox is not in charge of player personnel. It's easy to do because the coach has had that power in Denver for a long time, but it comes down to Elway ultimately.
While I have no doubt Elway works with and takes Coach Fox's opinion seriously, but I don't think our #7 will be satisfied with a middle of the pack, so-so QB. While I do believe he wants a passer who is a pocket passer, he does not want a game manager to lead his team. He wants a Brady or a Manning or Breese, not an Orton or a Delhomme or a Dilfer.
What this means is that our QB of the future may not be on our team right now and that they just might continue down this road of mediocre QB play for the rest of the season, but I don't see that being the goal of our FO.
What concerns me is that we play well enough this year to win enough games that we have no real shot at a dynamic QB in the draft. Then do we bring in another boring game manager?Actually I'm okay with that, as long as whoever it is gives a damn.
