Why Passing Totals Can Be Deceiving - NYTimes.com
Defenses know that with space being limited, offenses can’t spread out and dictate terms of engagement in the red zone the same way they can between the 20s. Thus, in taking risks, defenses have embraced more of a "bend but don’t break" mentality.

Things with the Kansas City Chiefs… they’re not good. They’ve lost their two best players in Eric Berry and Jamaal Charles for the season, their quarterback is the worst-rated starting quarterback in the league (now that Luke McCown has been benched in Jacksonville), and they were soundly beaten by two losing teams in 2010 by a combined 79 points.

Woody's mailbag had a lot of back=patting for Woody
but I learned a couple new things. I like his take on the fans and Tebow, how the org tricked season ticket holders by promising a Tebow led Broncos. Interesting stuff on Knowshon, although his dislike for Moreno is starting to become personal.
Raiders suck
Chargers are whiny douches
Chiefs are meh
Woody sounds like a drunk some times and I often wonder if he doesn't have a bottle of scotch in desk drawer?

I prefer drunk Woody, honestly.
Let it all hang out there man! I love it. lol Makes us bloggers look good…
Very smart of Orton to try and cut off the war of words with Tennessee
When you have a history of injuries, it’s probably not a good idea to mouth off to an aggressive defense right before playing against them.
Mediocrity is like a lollipop: lick it once and you'll suck forever.
Sticking with Kyle Orton is like taking your cousin to the Homecoming Dance - you're openly admitting that you had no other options, and it's guaranteed that nothing is happening after the early dance.

it's time our quarterback and OLine get nasty. We've heard how nasty Deebo was in college but it hasn't reared it's face in the NFL yet.
Is Maguza and McCoy holding his reins back? Letting him loose may be a good idea in this game as the Titans are hard to run against on the right side…Let the dogs out so to speak, no more Mr. Nice Guy, but ugly mean and hurtful. Beadles, you hear me son?
by bfree2bronc on Sep 22, 2011 12:17 PM MDT up reply actions
Thus far Beadles hasn't shown that he's past having to overthink everything
What that most likely means is that if he decides to get nasty his concentration will likely wane, you can kiss some of his assignments goodbye, and that will result in some free-running D-lineman and an impressive number of penalties.

Finnegan is cheap.
Andre Johnson whooped him good last season.

yeah you're kinda late
we’ve already discussed this earlier in the week.
and when one person doesn’t throw a punch is it really a fight?
no, and to neckbeard, we gift him this

Oh, I'm sure we'll have some fracus's this Sunday. It should be intertaining as hell...
Let the games begin. And, who is this Gowen dude? He sounds very arrogant coming off a dismal Ravens performance. The Ravens win that contest 9 out of 10 times. They didn’t come prepared and it showed, but the next time you all play them, things can get ugly…

Yeah its not a fight
he just his a** whooped straight up

Who won that game last year?
And Finnegan did look pretty tough taking blows from Johnson in the fetal position. Guess beatdown does it more justice than fight.
That was hard to watch, but fun too. Andrew Luck won't be playing for Denver in 2012. But he sure may be in Kansas City.
who won the game on busts by two of the 3 most disliked players on the team last year

There's a lot to dislike about Cortland Finnegan
Cheap throat punches, sure. Putting helmetless players in headlocks, you bet.
But it’s that Jersey Shore haircut that really does it.
I'm sure he get's more attention from the officials for his play...
If intimidation is his game then intimidate the hell out of him…And keep on sailing.

i think someone who is twice as big as him would not
be hurt from a “headlock” that lasted less than a half a second

Well, he openly despises Tebow, but he is intelligent to know Orton will be never accept here...
of course he wants us to suck for Luck. :)
Broncos cut Mike Mohamed and sign TE Dante Rosario
:( I really liked Mike, hopefully he clears waivers and we can PS him.
ugh! never liked Rosario
It wasn't him Charlie, it was you. Remember that night in the Garden you came down to my dressing room and said, "Kid, this ain't your night. We're going for the price on Wilson." Ya remember that? 'This ain't your night.' My night I could of taken Wilson apart. ~ Brando aka Terry Malloy
Rosario didn't look very good in pre-season for sure, but he can catch the ball and block some...
I’m guessing he’s a stop-gap until Thomas returns…

I loved how McDaniels kept trying to force his will on the Eagles...LOL
He may get fired from St Louis first. I like his chances in KC to keep them as screwed up as they are now….Hire the sucker I say!

It’s shocking to me that we keep hearing McJedi’s name as a HC candidate in KC or anywhere for that matter.
First off, KC’s fan base would revolt. Those fans openly loved that Josh was our coach and doing such a horrible job in all facets of his duties. They also think he is a cheater. Just don’t see that one going over well. Don’t think Scott P has that kind of pull in KC seeing as his team is falling apart in year 3.
Secondly, St Louis is 0-2 and looks woeful on offense in terms of doing the exact things teams need to do in order to win. Namely… scoring. McJedi had the same problems in Denver.
Josh isn’t some hot name right now.
That was hard to watch, but fun too. Andrew Luck won't be playing for Denver in 2012. But he sure may be in Kansas City.
At least he wouldn't run off their QB
