Steve Slaton a Bronco?

The Houston Texans have just released Steve Slaton and I think he would make a great addition to the Broncos. Granted I do not know what type of condition he is currently in but a workout would be well worth our time.

As a citizen of the great state of West Virginia and a resident in the heart of Mountaineer country, Morgantown, I was able on several occasions to watch Slaton perform. And one of his best attributes is something that is missing from our current corp. of RB, speed.

Steve Slaton rookie year in the league was outstanding and many felt deserving of probowl consideration. Only five other people had more rushing yards than him in that year. Injuries have plagued Slaton throughout his career; however, the role I envision Slaton in is a limited touch change of pace (think Tatum Bell before he was selling cell phones, stealing luggage, or trying to be an every down back).

Ultimately the Texans, a team very deep at the running back position, decided his services were no longer needed and released him.

If Steve is anywhere near the RB he was, his big play potential would be a welcome addition to our ground attack as well as our screen game.

Loved the addition of Quan Cosby and now would like to see this lacking dimension brought back to our RB corp.
