Trust in Our Front Office

So I've recently read some posts here about boycotting games or concessions and of course the billboards.  As much as I am dissappointed in our Quarterback play I feel like this is a very slippery slope we are about to embark on as fans.  I don't like the fact we are split on the quarterback position, but I believe we need to rethink this idea because in essence it is the tail wagging the dog.

I am unhappy with the state of the Broncos like many of you are. I too attend games probably about one a year.  Every other one I watch.  I realize that many of you are season ticket holders and feel like your money isn't being spent the way you would choose.  What is most important is that we give this front office a shot to win our trust rather than force them to play certain players.  That could really turn out badly.  So far I believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt with additions like Franklin, Moore, Von, McGahee, and Bunkley.  Along with an improved defense and coaching stability, it is clear that QB is not a priority right now.

With that said the QB position needs to be addressed in the near future and will be.  My personal opinion is that our QB play cost us both of our losses and that Tim Tebow should be the starter as soon as possible.  But if I was qualified to make those decisions I wouldn't be writing this from a hotel lobby where I currently work.  As much as my heart believes that Tim Tebow will be the next great Bronco QB I must admit that I could be wrong.  He could be a total bust and last year was a fluke.  I doubt it and am left to wonder what his pundits are really seeing. Still I may be wrong.  It is even quite possible our QB of the future is not even on our roster right now.

For those of you who go to the games and boo Orton when he plays badly I see nothing wrong with that.  Trust me when Kyle dropped the ball in the Raiders game, fumbled in the Cincy game and threw the pick in the Titans game EFX were booing on the inside.  And if Orton can not face the pressure of a booing, chanting crowd or a more popular back-up QB I damn sure don't want him wearing a Bronco helmet in a playoff game for us.  The front office still believes in Kyle Orton (I have no earthly Idea why) but I promise you, with his level of play right now, his time is running out FAST.  That is cooincedentally the first time Kyle Orton running and fast have ever been said in the same sentence.

I believe it is our responsibility as fans to let this front office assess this QB debate and do whats right for the Broncos without forcing their hand.  Additionally I do not want to see our sellout streak end. It is one of the proudest parts about being a Bronco fan.  It has taken us 41 years of fandom to build such a passionate loyal fan base and neither Kyle Orton nor Tim Tebow should stop it.  Nor should we stoop to the level of putting up billboards which will make a joke of us around the league.  As Tom Brady might say go in there and get lubed up (I will be at the Lions game) and cheer your heads off even if you don't like the guy taking the snaps.  After all it's about the name on the front of the jersey not the name of the one on the back.
