and Fox may be on the menu. I was nervous when Denver brought him in because of what happened in Carolina but they told us it was because "the front office didn't want to spend any money before the lockout'. Now I am curious about that proclamation.
I like John Fox and I think he brings some level headed coaching and stability to our team which is desperately needed. However I am beginning to be concerned that his stoicism isn't stoicism at all, but instead bull headed stubbornness.
Others on the site have broached the idea much more elegantly that I, but the idea that he has given Orton enough rope to either hang himself with or to climb to victory on has become my last glimmer of hope for our new HC. I saw somewhere, maybe the denver post during week one Fox advised we don't have any special packages for tebow. Two losses in three games and four shots at the endzone from the 2 yard line later we hear from our Other John that they do indeed have plays for Tebow.
So my question is this, was Elway just giving Fox the okay letting him know the organization as a whole is ready to begin fazing in Tebow in some way, or was he firing a warning shot across Fox's bow and letting him know that he needs to pull his head out and stop sitting one of the most talented players on our offense on the bench.
I really don't want to be sitting here in december still watching us lose with Orton just to then be sitting here in January and watching the team mount yet another search for a new HC because Fox couldn't evolve with the game. I guess on the upside we could promote Dennis Allen to HC and get a new OC who will build a playbook around Tebows skillset.
Just my thoughts, for what they are worth.
