Interesting
video explaining several rulings over the weekend.
I particularly enjoyed that they let the tape run on the OT play to show the celebrations. Would have liked to have them comment on the pre-snap alignment of the Bronco’s on the OT play.

Hate it.
The first play they showed was a great hit. It was a shoulder to shoulder hit. Based on they way the receiver’s head jerked I can understand the ref on the field making the mistake, but for the head office to use it as an example shows they dont even know their own rule book. It was similar to the Rahim Moore hit in preseason.
I think there is a problem with quick whistles. I am still steaming about the quick whistle that cost us a turnover, but they also showed in the saints game that if there was not a quick whistle on Brees’s fumble, that might have been returned for six by the Lions. He even says that the whistle was blown before the Lions recovered and because of that the saints should have maintained possession. Thats crap. They need to make quick whistle plays reviewable because they so often occur when possession is being contested.
Didn't they already do this with the Ed Hochali Rule?
I remember after the Jay Cutler fumble against SD, this rule change was prompted. Why have they changed their mind. Is it just that officials are supposed to let the play play out, and arn’t doing that? If so, that is a pretty big goof that happened (at least) twice in playoffs game this weekend.

Inadvertent whistle rule sucks
and is the only rule I can think of that can single handedly change the outcome or momentum of a game unfairly and for no reason. At the very least it should be changed so that the correct team can get possession of the ball that they have earned.
I loved the way the refs during the Broncos/Steelers game let the LOS play and not chnge the complex of the game.
Not to many holding calls were made. The blatant facemasks not called were concerning though as there is a refs assigned to watch those plays.
Win, lose or draw, we are the Denver Broncos! 13-3 Baby!!! Until we ain't!
