NE Rout shows Broncos not ready for AFC championship
The 45 to 10 rout by New England displayed a complete meltdown by the Broncos on both offense and defense.
Denver wasn't competitive in the game so they obviously are not good enough to compete for the AFC championship.
The pattern of defeat against elite teams in the NFL started with the 49 to 23 loss to the Packers. Kyle Orton was the
QB of that game but the results for the team were similar to both losses to New England with Tim Tebow at QB. Orton was then able to beat the Packers while playing for Kansas City.
These trends show that the Broncos personnel issues are not being just caused by the QB position. Part of the reason the defensive secondary played so poorly was that team leader Brian Dawkins was not in the game.
Tebow had a terrible game with only 136 yards passing and 13 yards rushing.
I really thought this team might be competitive against New England after the big win against the Steelers, but
it was obvious Brady just picked them apart. Gronkowski had a nice game with 10 receptions 145 yards and 3 TDS.
The Broncos made some progress this season by making the playoffs and beating the Steelers in the first round. However, a series of personnel issues in the defensive secondary and line need to be addressed.
Mike McCoy's game plan for the offense needs to be evaluated as does the horrible performance by Tebow and
every member of the Denver offense.
Hopefully, Elway and Xanders can rebuild the team enough for a better playoff run next season.

The nice thing for Denver is knowing that
this was year one in the rebuild. They have got to get some better talent on the roster. We need Safeties, Corners, a MLB, running back and a few more receivers. Lots of these guys that were out there will not be back next season.

We need safeties.. top priority
free, strong, anything in between. We have got to shore up that gaping wound of a backfield.
Goodman needs to go too.
WE HAVE safties. They are either young or old. We don't need to waste more draft picks on that position UNTIL we know if the young guys are gonna pan out.
This game showed that we need a DT, a CB, and a OG.
Bruton NO, Moore NO, Carter NO
Without Dawkins we were one of the bottom 1 or 2 secondaries in the league. Dawkins might be done, Goodman has no heart to make a tackle and gets burned a lot. Chris Harris and Champ are the only ones worth salvaging.
We cannot ignore this position any longer.
We have done well for a "rebuilding year"

todd7 you said Tebow had a "horrible" game, but thats not the whole truth.
Tebow didn’t play well but the ENTIRE Team played badly ESPECIALLY the O-LINE! There was no pass protection and there was no run blocking. We were simply out of gas after that Steelers game.
What we need is AN offseason so our rookies of 2011/2012 and the second year players have some hands on teaching...
Nobody could have imagined with a straight face that we could or would of gotten this far…The Broncos made money for the organization and the team will build…
Win, lose or draw, we are the Denver Broncos! 13-3 Baby!!! Until we ain't!

We Were Out Classed but With Help
I was so angry at the offical and I am not being a baby. Gronk did not have possession and Gronk was guilty of Offensive PI pushoff on another TD. The Beadles Penalty: he had hands in his face and was pushed that is either no call or offsetting calls. The Calls were bad in general but come on Ref smiling and patting Brady on the back when he threw his record setting TD to me show the refs were clearly the 12 man on the field for NE. Like Saturday Night Live said Bellacheat has sold his soul to you know who and it shows by the refs rewarding dirty play.
It bothers me the fraternizing I see between the players/coaches and refs
They should be like IRS agents… strictly business.
When I see refs gufawing with the players it’s like I’m waiting to see them break out an autograph request… they want to be cool just like them.
