Phil Simms

Can I just say that Phil Simms should only speak when he has something intelligent to say, or is actually breaking down the right play. His analysis was embarrassing. And you can how he feel’s about the Broncos treatment of Orton because he was just about to launch into a dialog of how important practice is vs being a gamer when he was interrupted with an event on the field. His disdain for Tebow is palpable. I’d like to see how well he’d do as a QB when his defense spots the opposing QB 35 points at half and gives up a total of 500+ yards.

Tebow wasn’t great last night – in fact – he wasn’t even good. But let’s not lay last night’s game on him. It was a team breakdown plain and simple and reminded me that this is a really young team that needs a good talent infusion!

Yeah

When Miller loses it – or appears to – you know there’s a real whirlwind of frustration out there. Plenty to go around.

Guess I'll go first

I hope that we aren’t “treated” to an off-season of Tebow conjecture. Articles conjured from what might or might not be, and whole stories fabricated from any fragment of a comment from E, F, or X. Remember how some lamented how the media ignores Denver sports? Be careful what you wish for.

For me, I wish a healthy off-season of practice, improvement, and look forward to the optimism of a new season. This one was more fun than I certainly expected, and I think we have legitimate reasons to hope for good things next year.

Go Broncos!

good luck with that one

as long as Tebow is our QB the media will circle around. If anything, because of the dud yesterday, there will be even more gossip and conjecture.

FML

Tim Tebow is the reason the Broncos gave up 45 points. I need to check out for a while.

I am happy with our QB situation, but we’re a young team with some needs and we’re obviously not ready for the big boys.

Reminded of a Star Trek - New Generation Episode

Where Q finds an arrogant Captain Picard who thinks he can play with the big boys of the Universe, so Q transports him to tackle the Borg. Picard quickly realizes his weapons aren’t going to work against the Borg and that he can’t beat the “collective”.

Silly analogy but I think it’s kinda funny that in this instance the Borg represents Patriots, Packers, Saints and just about every high scoring offense or “elite” team. As Fox says, we’ve now measured ourselves against elite teams and we have lots of work to do. Should be an interesting off season.

Our D cant handle good passers

We’ve been smoked by all the good throwing teams. Doesnt help were not that good against the run either. Still a long ways to go from the years of neglect Shanny and McD laid on the D

Nice to see the NFL is looking at full time refs

maybe some that can keep up with the play and spot a blatant face-masking or PI call five feet from them. By the way, how bout those Pats? The Broncos have two awesome pass rushers coming from different sides but the Pats O-line can shut them down without holding one single time. Yeah right. The league talks out of one side of its mouth about fairness and parity then makes the rules and conditions so favorable for the passing game that only a few teams with elite passers stand any real chance of making it to the Superbowl regardless of how good their defenses or running games are.

Holding

Great point. It is a shame that the nfl and holding has become as bad as the nba traveling and mlb strike zone, where reputation leads to different standards and leads to such blatant favortism.

Tebow

Should have covered NEs TEs better.

Also, ESPN makes me sick. They trot out Dilfer and hodge after the broncos have a bad game, and you know Higher would not have been their choice otherwise.
And Hodge TWICE said how Tebow’s long release led to the strip sack. Puhlease! Maybe that would be true if it happened at the very end of the release, but it was right as he got started. He could have the quickest release in the leaguer on that play and it douglass not have made a difference.

I am excited fire next year, because I expect great chemistry between Tebow, Thomas, Decker, the line and hopefully that athletic TE they drafted. They will all be a year more mature too.

Good things ahead, don’t be down.

Becuase losing 56-28

would be so much better? The Patriots could have put up around 60 points if they really wanted to. Entire team just looked tired, you could tell which team had a week to rest and which team has been playing hugely physical games since their bye in week 6, that is 13 straight weeks.

I agree with you

I also have a theory that we suffered an emotional let down yesterday. After the high of winning against Pittsburgh we were going to crash. I don’t know if it’s true but you hear it in sports all the time about the game after a big emotional win.

I'm not a big college sports guy

Probably because I’m from up north and it isn’t part of our culture the way it is in the U.S. We don’t have much coverage of it on our sports channels. I’ll have to rely on the expertise of the MHR community then deftly steal their opinions and regurgitate them as my own

Pay attention to those free agents too. The broncos are plenty under the cap and could easily add a couple of quality starters.

Though it will be interesting to see free agents reactions to Tebow. Does it attract more or less free agents? It should be interesting to find out.

It's very true. You see it all the time in every sport.

It takes a veteran football to get back on track and even at that, it’s still hard. It’s good learning experience though.
