Hey, Broncos Nation, I'm sure everybody here is pissed and thought we had a shot at going forward in this season but let's keep it real and remember: We are coming out of a 4-12 season!
Entering this year I thought we would end this season with a 5-11 or 6-10 record but EFX managed to pick up some talent and we fought hard and ended up as one of the 8 best teams in the league!
The Broncos is settled at so many positions, in my opinion we have to go after a starting MLB, solid CB, TE (if Julius Thomas doesn't live up to his hype), staring RB and WR for depth. Denver Broncos is one of the youngest teams in the league, I guess, and we are pretty much tallented.
But now, a thing I want to highlight. Think about a TE, normally a 6'4 - 6'6 / 240-260 pounds who can run effectively. Whcih player on the defense can cover those weapons? Defensie Back? Too small. Linebacker? Too slow. This is a "new position" in football, now that we have a passing league, they became receiving threats like WR, but bigger and a bit slower so I think Denver should hit the market for Finley (really doubtful) or draft somebody.
Let's face it, an offense with 2 great TE's, one of the best WR's in the league, a Hall of Fame Quarterback and a good offensive line doesn't need a good defense to win games.
Keep it up Broncos, and next year we should go further!
