Bear with me guys this is my first fanpost
I was just thinking about this from a strange perspective, Denver was picked to finish at the bottom of the West, probably right at the bottom of the league, they had the second pick in the draft last year and will have the 25th this draft. That's a pretty good turnaround if you ask me and most other fans, with zero expectations from the rest of the league and the MSM. What about some of these other teams in the playoffs?
Pitt, they were defending AFC champs, went 12-4 this season, so it came as a huge surprise to others that they lost to a Denver team that nobody gave a chance. Or New Orleans, They have a QB who breaks Dan Marino's single season yardage record and they only lost 3 games. Many people myself included really liked their chances to get back to the superbowl and compete for a title. And I think the biggest one is GB, 15-1 with all the pressure on them to win it back to back and they couldn't get it done. Now how many of the other teams in the playoffs were supposed to have a better "shot " then those teams? Definitely not Denver, and yet they made it just as far into the season as all of those teams and farther than others. I think Denver had a better season than those three teams. They did more with less and did it when people were expecting and wishing for them to fail. I'm immensely proud to be a member of Broncos Country.
It totally sucks that Denver finished the season on a very sour note but they did a lot of good with a qb change a quarter of the way through and a revamping of the offense. I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg and Denver will be a tough out next season and for years to come. Thank you Broncos for giving me the best season i've had since I was in junior high!
