Where are the Rodgers doubters?
If not for a phantom hit to the helmet penalty, A Rodgers' stats from the GB game would have been much worse and dare I say Tebow-esque. A non call (on the 3rd and 10 incompletion) would have definitely kept him from getting the 61 yards passing and the touchdown he threw. Remove those stats and Rogers would be under 50% and would have end up with just over 200 yards. Oh, and his QB rating would have been below the 78.5 with which he finished.
So where's the outrage? Where are the critics? I understand you can't compare Tebow and Rodgers, but come on.

Did you really post this?
Assuming you are correct… that would be 1 game among how many 4 TD 300+ yard 60% completions percentage 100+ rating games he gives them week in and week out, year in and year out?
Tim is consistantly under 50%… under 300…. QB rating in the 70s.
And if you’re looking for outrage and such… try speaking to a diehard pack fan that’s pissed his team wont be going to the white house.

Exactly...
Rodgers had a bad game “Statistically” against a very good defense. Tim struggles against almost ever defense.
So why would anyone make a big deal about Aarons stats in one game?
That's stupid and borderline asinine
Tebow torched the Steelers and they’re one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. The Patriots were simply a better team this year (I’m pretty sure they only lost 3 games) and the Bills defense picked off Tom Brady 4 times in their first game so they’re not exactly punks either. Tebow had a great year.
TurfSharks.com
LOL...
Are you telling me that he doesn’t struggle every game? Tell me this… When was the last time you watched a Broncos game and your heart wasn’t racing? Or the last time your eyes weren’t glued to the screen in the 4th quarter because you knew your team had the game in the bag?
Last minute heriocs… finishing games… Tebow is top notch. But let’s be real… it is never easy. You brought up the Steelers game… but that went to overtime because we could only score 3 points in the second half. And that was one of his BEST games.
I forgot one...
When was the last time you watched a game and were shocked that they went 3 and out?
We were crushing the Steelers until
the refs whistled that backwards pass. Tebow smoked them like a pack of kools. I think you’re judging him way too hard.
TurfSharks.com
You want to compare? Rodgers was in his 4th year when he made the playoffs and in his 5th year when he won a playoff game.
Rodgers had 3 full seasons to develope. Also he’s had the same offense/coach every year—no lockout either. In Tebow’s two years, he’s had two coaches and had to learn a new offense in training camp—hardly ever happens. Also I remember Rodgers was struggling in his second year and people in Green Bay were wondering if he was a bust. I know this because I live in Wisconsin and most packer fans don’t want to admit that. If Tebow had three full seasons to develope as well as have the same coach in all those years, he would probably come out the same as Rodgers. It’s just that not every young QB has that ideal situation. I gurantee you, Rodgers wouldn’t be the same QB today if he didn’t have those 3 years to develope before his first year as a starter. Lets compare Tebow to Rodgers, when Tebow is in his 4th and 5th year in the league.

The post is about why people are not dumping on Rodgers. The reason is… Rodgers has a history that shows he is good more often than he is bad.
Rodgers in his second year.. was sitting on a bench. So nobody expected him to do anything… and he did nothing. He met expectations… so there is nothing to talk about.
Tebow… some ppl think he sucks.. some ppl think he’s great… so when ever he plays great.. or plays like crap… someone is going to have something to say.
To me, and in actuality as well
Tebow’s had way more good games than bad. It’s sort of hard to have the record he has…. especially considering how young he is, and have too many horrible games. Screw the completion …. I want wins. I also love this new QBR system, it allows players like Tebow to get the numbers without completing 70.

No mystery there.
A bit picky are we?
What did Aaron Rodgers do his 2nd year? Nuthin.

I have to agree
You are comparing apples to oranges
Rogers SB Winner, established elite QB
Tebow a work in progress with an unknown outcome
Unitil Tebow can prove he can complete greater than 55% of his passes and be effective for 4 quarters week in and week out, you will have the critics.
When you make a post like this it comes across as irrational at best.
Tebow would agree with the critics in that he needs to be a better and more consistent passer if he will ultimately succeed.

There are only 3 elite QB's in the NFL right now
Brady, Brees and Rodgers. We don’t have any of those guys and neither do 28 other teams. Tebow is our guy so you better get behind the “Tebow-esque” play.

Yessir!!!
and Tebow is elite in ways those boys will only dream of. Tim has more toughness and athleticism in his pinky toe than those QB’s do in their whole body.

I’m talking about the people being critical of the 1 game performance. Most were saying Tebow played dreadful while at the same time putting the GB loss on Rodgers’ teamates not showing up.
This post was largely unnecessary
You are not going to change anyone’s mind on this. Rodgers played OK and his offense sucked (and his defense sucked, but they sucked all year too, so no complaining now…) Tim played OK when not being molested, but he did not do anything spectacular in that game either. The Broncos as a whole played horrible in every facet. The 45-10 drubbing was worse than the score indicates. Our D was getting gashed big time. We had no pass rush. Receivers were not getting open, then they dropped balls. O-Line looked like turnstiles…. really against that horrible Pats D-line we got DOMINATED consistently. Even our extremely excellent punter looked like he was kicking a rock (30-40 yard punts… cmon). THE BRONCOS WERE FLAT. The Pack was rusty and flat. Neither QB played up to their potential and both were let down heavily by teammates. Rodgers does have years of history of good play and Tebow… not yet! When Tim is leading the charge into the playoff next year, there will still be doubters. If Tim hoists the Lombardi, there will still be doubters. Tim will have to have years of high performance to quiet most of the doubters (some will spew stupidity regardless). This is not a bad thing, necessarily. Every QB has to prove it. Rodgers definitely did not get the level of criticism that Tim gets, but there were a LOT of doubters after that 6-10 season… He had to prove it and so does Tim. It takes years and cannot be done over a single game, or even a single season.
Um, this type of game is an anomoly for Rodgers where for Tebow it is the norm. Pretty horrible comparison even if it is for 1 playoff game. Don't forget all the playoff games that Rodgers did win last year.
Rodgers has proven to be consistent, Tebow hasn’t yet. That is why one is criticized more than the other. Ridiculous.

For good reason. Tebow statistically is not very good yet. Rodgers is, he's proven he can play CONSISTENTLY at a very elite level. That is why they aren't criticizing him nor should they.

Don't be so literal
The poster’s point is that Tebow’s stats are constantly under the microscope, yet no one in the MSM applies the same standards to other players—and yes even AR had a bad game in this playoff. Frankly, I think that is even more telling that the great AR could have such a bad game given his belt and air of invincibility. Yes, AR is a stud but he has also been in the league for several years after training for several years on the bench. With the pass rush TT faced the other night, not to mention the drops (which have been prolific this season), AR probably wouldn’t have fared much better. The MSM and other critics are so apt to call him a bust after a single game performance, yet never seem to apply the same standard to any of his contemporaries.

None of his contemporaries were in the playoffs
which is an important comparison and don’t tell me that it was Tebow’s team that made the difference. The point is even the AR can me made to look bad at the playoff level of competition, but no one in the MSM wants to make that point.
Everyone in the MSM
seems only to want to compare Tebow to Brady, Brees, and Rodgers. Why shouldn’t the reverse apply?!!!

This game was not the norm for Tim or the Broncos as a whole
That statement is BS. Everyone played significantly below potential in that game.
They also played below potential in half the games we barely won and all the ones we lost.
The point is that Rodgers and Tebow should not be criticized the same. And why even suggest looking at one game compared to a whole body of work? It is pointless.

How many NFL games does Rogers have under his belt compared to Tebow?
How many years did Rogers have in the NFL before he started as many games as Tebow has started?
Or, how about Alex Smith, a 1st round QB who was pretty much considered a failure until this year and he really didn’t shine until this last game.
A great passing QB has a bad day and everyone just shrugs their shoulders. A QB with great potential has “wrong” coaching and the QB gets blamed. But, a running threat QB has a bad passing day and everyone thinks he cannot perform.
Tebow is what he is. If he can improve his throwing he will be great. If he cannot, he will win games but probably never a SB.
This is truth
Although some close fans knew Alex was not being given a fair shake. The bottom line is that Tim will have to prove it, and it cannot be proved in one game or one season. It will take years. And Tim wants nothing more than to compete for it. Unreasonable people will be unreasonable and then look like fools when they are wrong. I personally think he has the tools and the drive and will succeed. Others doubt it. Still others spew stupidity to get attention. It is what it is. Get used to it, because it will be the Broncos life for a while to come.
Rodgers is one of top 3 QBs in football right now,

But he will never run like Steve Young
Uhh wait… I think he did.
Rodgers is a top QB in the system he is in, which is built for his skill set as well as the other skilled guys on the team.
Again
We are talking about why the critics choose to bang on Tim and not on Rodgers when reviewing one game. I’m not comparing the two players- I’m comparing how they are judged .
I thought Tim broke his collarbone in the game. Didn’t realize it was a rib and bruised lung.
When you PROVE CONSISTENTLY you can play well
You won’t take much heat after a bad game. Brady, Rodgers, Brees and both Mannings have bad games on occasion. Brady had a 4 INT game this season, but because those are rare, and aren’t a habit, there’s no point in judging them harshly because it doesn’t matter because those are flukes. If a hot-and-cold player like Tebow had a bad game, they are judged harshly, just look at some of the heat other young guys like Colt McCoy, Josh Freeman, and Mark Sanchez take.
You say this isn’t about the players but about the judgers, well if Tebow (or any QB) played like Rodgers regularly, they wouldn’t take much heat either. Judges give more slack to proven, consistent players and that is how it should be.

True... but....
To expect a guy with < 1 full year under his belt in a new system with a young team to play like a veteran defending SB champ who has been leading a veteran team with consistency at all levels for several years is a fool’s errand. The point is that these pundits are not paid to analyze, but to generate hype. Nothing generates more hype than being obviously over critical with a fan favorite. If we really want to punish them… stop listening and clicking…
These pundits are just as critical on other players
Younger, unproven players have and will always receive more critical analysis, and it makes sense, they haven’t PROVEN that poor games are far and few between. Now that’s not the same as expecting or setting the bar the same for all QB’s, rather it means people are more critical of unproven commodities. This applies in all sports as well as throughout society, at a job, your boss watches you more closely till you prove yourself. A new employee is more likely to be fired for the same mistake as a long time employee because the long time employee has, hopefully, proven those mistakes are rare.
I know we all want Tebow to get some slack, but there is a difference between being a “hater” and being critical. Young players will always have a shorter leash, and that is how it should be. Oh and Rodger’s “bad” playoff game doesn’t compare to a “bad” Tebow game.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
Dude I love Tebow and all but these posts are ridiculous
Rodgers won a SB and was MVP of that same SB. He’s also thrown for nearly 5,000 yards, 45 TDs, 6 picks, 3 rushing TD’s, and a 68.3% completion ratio. Tebow is no where near this level, and likely never will be. Thats ok. As long as he improves to middle of the pack in throwing, I think we have our QB of the future.

The NFL has figured out Aaron Rodgers
It was bound to happen sooner or later.
And a lot of you guys are missing the point. Sure, a bad game by ar is too little evidence to try to claim he is no good, BUT expectations for Tebow should not be as high as they are for veteran top three stud qbs, which is what people are doing. A bad playoff game by effectively a rookie qb is not great evidence of being a bust either, especially following a studly playoff game.
Stop getting all hung up on sentences that include active hof bound qbs and tebow, especially when you are constantly saying tebow is not them.
If veteran superstars can have a crappy game, can’t a young guy without multiple studly wrs?
