Brian Dawkins Headed To Ninth Pro Bowl
Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins was notified by the National Football League on Thursday that he was added to the 2012 Pro Bowl roster. He replaces Pittsburgh safety Troy Polamalu, who will not participate in the league's annual All-Star Game due to injury.
The selection marks Dawkins' second Pro Bowl with the Broncos and the ninth of his career to tie him with John Lynch for the second-most all-time among safeties. Dawkins, who played 14 games (12 starts) in 2011, totaled 51 tackles (31 solo), three sacks (38 yds.), six passes defensed and one forced fumble for the Broncos.

Congrats to Brian
Way to go brother, the wolverine still has it. I mean, look at that picture. That is a bad @$$ dude.
Playoffs!?!? Playoffs!?!? Don't talk about Playoffs!! Playoffs?!?!
So wait..
He’s gonna play, even though he’s been out, I assume? I don’t think they add them to the roster unless they accept, and are gonna go.. This could be his last game maybe, the freakin Pro Bowl?? That would be sad.
In any case, it’s still cool, he deserves it. He’ll always be one of my favorite Broncos, I don’t care how long he’s been with us.
Awesome!
He deserves it!

I was pleased to hear it.
This may well be the last time we see him. What a great career.
We conquered this territory with our bodies and souls, then we watered it with our tears.

It's the Pro Bowl.
Basically a walk through practice.

strong Bronco showing at safety
I hadn’t realized the Broncos have such an amazing pedigree at the safety position! I knew we had some greats, but to represent like that in the all-time selections? Outstanding! Love them all, and still proudly wear my Lynch jersey!
As Brian’s football career nears it’s end, let’s hope the Broncos can land the next great safety (preferably through the draft!).

Way to go B Dawk!
I will actually be in HI next Sunday. I may just try to score some tickets.
Win or lose, I'll always be a BRONCOS fan! We've had enough of the former the past few years though, so how 'bout some more of the latter.....

I'm sorry
I love dawk but he does not deserve to go to the pro bowl this year and nor does Clady.
I’m happy for both of them but there is no way either should be going (mind you polamalu shouldn’t have been the pick either).
Awesome to see the Broncos represented in the all-time pro-bowls list for safeties!
Von Miller and Dumervil are basically racing to see who's first to the QB...Love this feeling!!!
