Broncos Shuffle Roster In Preparations For Playoff Showdown With Steelers
The Denver Broncos on Monday announced several transactions, including the signing of offensive tackle Ryan Harris.
Also on Monday, the club placed guard Chris Kuper on injured reserve and signed three players to future contracts.
Harris (6-foot-5, 300 pounds) started 34-of-46 games played for the Broncos from 2007-10 after being selected by the club in the third round (70th overall) of the NFL Draft from the University of Notre Dame. He signed with Philadelphia during training camp before being released on Sept. 3.

Presumably as a backup for now, right?
wouldn’t expect he’d come in and start a playoff game, but would be interesting if they moved Franklin over to his more natural guard and started Harris instead of Hochstein.
Though Russ played pretty well in emergency duty yesterday.
anyway, will be cool to have Harris next year, if they go that way.
There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers/Lakers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants/Warriors country, and damned proud of it.
Hochstein got dinged up yesterday also.
Clark came in to replace him.
".....Im the waiting beast....Im the twisted nerve..."
He hasn't played football in a year..
…so he can’t be even close to in football shape. Also, he doesn’t know the whole playbook.

rumor has it that the playbook hasn't changed much
so he should know most of it.

Win, lose or draw, we are the Denver Broncos! 13-3 Baby!!! Until we ain't!
He injuried his big toe on his right?foot during the Baltimore Ravens game in 2009.
After rehab McDaniels and team trainers/medical staff deemed him healthy to play. Shortly after he reinjured the same toe with a different injury. What I don’t understand is how can he be completely healthy now this soon after back surgery?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but
didn’t the 6-game win streak in 2009 end after Harris was injured? Regardless, I’m glad he’s back.

Hopefully that means Hochstein goes to the bench and Franklin moves inside.

Makes it awful tough on a QB...
Your tackles generally stay outside the passing lanes (more in peripheral vision). Taking a dude that is 6’7 and putting him smack in the middle of your lanes makes vision difficult downfield.
Can you imagine Drew Brees having 6’7 guards on his O-Line? Hahaha

Running team...
Big guard on a big DT. Makes getting the short yards easier… Tebow better out of pocket at this point anyways
REVELATION 6:8
And I looked, and behold a pale [Bronco]: and his name that sat on him was [Tebow], and [a Ferocious Defense] followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth [Quarter of the Game], to kill with [the 1st ranked run attack], and with [clutch plays], and with [bone crunching sacks], and with the beasts of the [Mile HIgh City].

I am starting to wonder about that...
I think Tebow is ‘better outside the pocket’ because his WRs don’t get separation until after he is forced to scramble. Then the DBs start to creep up and WRs get open – FINALLY.
Honestly, I think Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow’s problems in the passing game this year have a LOT, let me emphasize, A LOT to do with the WR corps.

Yeah but Tebow doesn't stay in the pocket anyway :)

that can't be right
just of the top of my head, robert gallery, long time guard for the raiders and current guard for the seahawks, is 6-7. There are plenty of NFL guards over 6-3. I think height is an advantage, not a disadvantage.
that can't be right
Robert Gallery is 6-7, he’s a starting guard for the Seahawks.
I believe it will be a competitive game and denver has a good chance of winning.

The Steelers will be very tough even though they are banged up some.
Our defense and offense will have their hands full the whole game and better bring a better game than they have…
Win, lose or draw, we are the Denver Broncos! 13-3 Baby!!! Until we ain't!
And Mile High is very friendly towards the Steelers
Its gonna be Heinz Field west

Broncos fans need to not sell their tickets and just go to the game for one. That would help.
And/or give a hard core quiz to any prospective ticket buyers, haha.

They are bandwagon fans
People cheer for the flavor of the week, and when a team has as many SB wins as the Steelers they catch all of the Die hard bandwagon fans.
The Steelers are not a great team right now, unfortunately lately we haven’t been playing even at the level of good team, but it is in there for us, hopefully Dawkins can stoke the fire enough to get one lit under the collective asses of the team.

So wasn't Jarmon the guy we got in that Awsome trade with Washington?

Not that it did Shanny any good
Man… Jabar Gaffney’s really been All World for the Skins this year…. he’s really helped them win some games (just like we did with him).

Well he did have Sexy Rexy throwing it to the other teams DB's, not Gaff
and he’s put up some really good numbers this year

I hope we get him
A huge trade would be needed though

Like these moves
Harris, when healthy is a very good starter caliber RT…. of course, he’s never healthy. Definitely should help our oline depth…
Liked what I saw out of Jarmon in preseason, and he was perhaps the most surprising of our cuts IMO. Hope he can continue to improve (I think he’s still only 23 or 24?… came out early in the Supplemental Draft) and make the cut next year.
