7. Brees fallout:
Unless New Orleans can get a deal done with Brees in the next month, the Saints will have to use their franchise tag on him, which means they will not have it available for wide receiver Marques Colston or Pro Bowl (left) guard Carl Nicks. Colston already has said he will not give New Orleans a hometown discount, and Nicks also is expected to leave New Orleans, according to league sources.
Carl Nicks anyone?

Would Colston want to play in Denver though?
Not many FA WRs would choose Denver as a destination. Will have to acquire them from the draft, I think.
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Carl Nicks over Beadles...
or insurance for Kuper. I think that would be great, but think we have bigger needs over OL and WR. Alot will depend on Dawkins and his health or if he will retire???

Hit the nail on the head
We can’t assume Kuper will be ready to go in September. EFX must have a Plan B in place at guard or the Broncos will surely stumble out of the gate.

Even if Kuper does come back a 100%, then just move either him or Nicks to the other guard position. That would be ideal.

Possibilities if Kuper is on PUP to start 2012 and Nicks is signed by Denver:
1. Hochstein beats out Beadles for RG, demoting Beadles to utility lineman.
O-line is: Clady, Nicks, Walton, Hochstein, and Franklin.
2. Ryan Harris is healthy and returns as the starting RT. Franklin beats out Hochstein and Beadles for RG and he slides inside from the RT spot. With Nicks the clear candidate to start at LG, Hochstein and Beadles become backup linemen for the interior, taking pressure off Hochstein, as he can focus on being backup center, since Beadles can back up the guards. And we still have Kuper rehabbing and returning when he is ready.
O-line then is: Clady, Nicks, Walton, Franklin, and Harris

Kuper will be back and Beadles...what he lacks in pass protection has progressed as one of the best pulling-guards in the league on runs.
I sincerely hope EFX don’t spend big money on a guard and maybe address the position in the draft. Our OLine is the 2nd youngest in the league and they did show imrovement throughout the year. I would give them a full offseason together to get more acquianted with eachother and see how they do. That’s just my opinion though.
Win, lose or draw, we are the Denver Broncos! 13-3 Baby!!! Until we ain't!
Considering how much Brees loves NO
And that team, I’m sure he’ll take a deal like Brady has done in the past, taking a lower salary so the team can keep more pieces.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
Whatever happened to the OL analysis?
There was a feature on the O-Line earlier this year that showed up on the front page after each game, then it suddenly stopped. That was a great series of articles and I miss it. It would be interesting to see just how much our OL improved over the year.

I'd take Nicks over Colston's injury prone butt any day!
