I think his image is fine. The good he did great out weighs the bad
anyone who says otherwise needs to look themselves in the mirror and see if they lived a perfect life. Sure he could have done more, but he wasn’t charged anything, and was served the worst punishment of all, they took away coaching and football from him
RIP Joe Pa

While I understand the sentiment...
“was served the worst punishment of all”…. I cannot disagree with more. I’m betting none of the children who were victimized after JoePa and others around him knew about the situation think that losing the inability to coach football is “the worst punishment of all.”

Rest in peace JoePa
His legacy far out weighs the last few months! He was a good man with a great set of core beliefs. A true legend in the sport of football.

I disagree
Ask the victims of the accused whether his good in a game of football outweighs the damage he could have prevented. That kind of psychological injury goes well beyond the life of the person who was molested. It will affect their brothers, sisters, parents, children, grandchildren, friends, etc. I’m not blaming Mr. Paterno for what happened to those people, but the lesson in this is that everyone should look at themselves in the mirror and decide whether they would expose a pedophile and persue justice until that person is either convicted or deemed innocent.
