Around SBN: L'Equipe Claims He's Coming To Chelsea On Five Year Deal

The most alarming stat of the Broncos' offense as they closed the 2011 season: In the first half of their final four games, the Broncos ran the ball, or didn't throw it, on 45- of-49 first-down plays.

They did not pass on 11-of-11 first-down plays in the first half at Buffalo; 10-of-12 . against Kansas City; 11-of-12 against Pittsburgh; and 13-of-14 against New England.

I know a lot of people have complaints with basically everything McCoy did this year

but this here is really my only major complaint with him. I am absolutely not against running the ball a ton with the way this offense is built but I would really like to see the Broncos do more then just run straight up the gut on 1st down.

Predictability isn’t a bad thing when it is working but the easiest way keep it working is to add another element to your game that the defense has to consider. If defenses can put 100% effort into stopping one element, no matter how bad that defense is they will probably stop it.

And now for something completely different

I agree the predictability of this killed me. I'd love to see some play action or bootleg plays on 1st down.

I also don’t mind running the ball 60% of the time (or more) if it is working but up the middle every time? Come on McCoy. This predictability also killed the option down the stretch because defenses were keying run every time so it didn’t matter if it was McGahee or Tebow with the ball.

Tim Tebow wears 3WM and drinks Tuscan whole milk.

Stated before..a QB is needed to play action and to throw on 1st's.

With accuracy improvement and moving from the college offensive sets then screens and bootlegs would work. When you run the read-option short passes and screens are clogged.

Kreese and Lawrence will decide if Tim Tebow can develop into our future.
