My New Hat

Thank You, MHR!!
This probably should be a fanshot but I want to share several pictures here. I am a bit late as well, I actually got it last Wednesday. So lets make that ever elusive jump.

I was excited one day to see a pick-em contest and I sent my entry right away. Sadly I was not picked :(
It was fun reading them as the weeks went by and I hope to see it again next season. Though I was equally happy with the staff pickem format that was previously used.

Simply for entering that contest I am the lucky winner of an autographed Broncos hat. I never expected to have any autographed memorabilia and this is a very welcome addition to my collection :D I think I have KK to thank for the signatures. Our current roster does not show a number 73 and the other, #77 should be Broderick Bunkley ( works for me but it doesn't look like that ) So, thanks Kap for getting the hat signed, thanks Mr. Bunkley for signing the hat and a big BIG THANKS to MHR Shrout. Whoever that is...... Brian ;) for doing the work and sending the hat to me.

And a nice home. I am one happy Broncos fan and MHR reader :D

I haven't confirmed this with Kirk yet,
but I’m planning on running the contest again next season — a lot will depend on how many hats we can get autographed. Kirk was a real trouper last year in getting that many hats signed.

How do you upload photos to a post?
I always just linked a pic from an existing site.
Von Miller and Dumervil are basically racing to see who's first to the QB...Love this feeling!!!
When composing
in the panel to the right hand side are two little icons at the top. One is photo and one is video. Select that and a window opens. Past the url and it uploads.

I saw that
So you have to link to an existing pic on the internet? Did you upload these hat pics on a personal page and then linked to it?

You can upload photos in the post editor
that are from your computer, but not directly in the comments. You can try downloading them to Photo Bucket (a place that stores them for you online). That will give you a URL to use. Then you can post it in the comments.

Got me
I went to vote, and I did actually enjoy it, but assumed Yes was first. Didn’t realize till after I hit vote that No was first. So numbers are skewed. LOL Nice tho.

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

That is part
of a very old “office” set I got for xmas. The graphics are fairly cheap other than the Broncos logos. There is a cd/dvd holder that goes with it. I posted a couple more pics up on flikr that shows them better.

Yeah, that #73 is Kuper. I think I might have gotten 2 of his autographs. Kupe, JD Walton and Zane Beadles will chat with the fans. I think they get a kick out of the attention. They are really cool to do that, IMO. If all goes as planned, we will continue with this. I even have a few left, so maybe we should do something for the Super Bowl too.

Hey Kap,
I remember back in the SB days that O-lineman didn’t talk to the media but did they interact with the fans like Kuper,Walton,Beadles do?

The o-line had a code of silence
until the NFL forced them to speak to the media and even then, for a while, they would appoint one spokesman to speak for the group, but the NFL even nixed that.

Ah I see, I didn't know they nixed it, I just assumed after the older guys left things changed.
Thanks

If I remember right,
It all came to a head during one of Denver’s Super Bowls when the o-line refused to speak to the media and the NFL put their foot down.

I just did a little digging
The Broncos were told in the week leading up to Super Bowl XXXII that the members of the o-line would be fined if they didn’t speak to the media. As the Denver Post put it at the time:
Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said that when his offensive line convenes at Qualcomm Stadium today for the NFL’s media day, it will avoid being fined, break its two-year code of silence and spend one hour starting at 9:30 a.m. MST talking with reporters.

That is a cool drawer set man
did you make that Broncos with a sticker, or was it bought that way?
