The Circle of Life or Belichick humour?
Just a quick observation for my friends at MHR - NFL.com are reporting that former Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels has been schmoozing with his former employers in New England.
As many more informed reports on MHR have previously stated, clearly the boychild has some ability - look at the stats for Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd under his tutelage - but as a head coach, it didn't take Einstein to realise that McDaniels was well out of his depth in that role. Nonetheless, he has demonstrated enough ability as a co-ordinator.
And so, after setting the Broncos back more effectively than a tsunami, it seems that Belichick may yet pull the trigger and reinstate McDaniels in the soon to be vacated Offensive Coordinator post with the Clambakes, now that O'Brien has agreed to take the reins at Penn State.
But enough about that lot - it's time to get ready for the playoffs. I'm off to reserve a spot on the couch. The New Orleans-Detroit game promises to be a thriller, even though it won't finish till well after 4am here in the UK. Better get a comfy spot on that sofa then, 'eh?
And fingers crossed for tomorrow night. Let's hope Tebow reverts to his form of a month or two ago, and that Roethlisberger twists his ankle getting off the team bus tomorrow....
Go Broncos!

It is official! Belly-chick sent McD to the Broncos to dis-assemble the team! Then he sent him to spy on the Rams.
Now it is time to bring him back in, because his cover has been blown all to Hell!
"Give me 22 Tebows and I'll play all the positions both ways!" "Give me football, or give me football."

Belichick plugs in OCs like our old Broncos plugged in running backs
May as well just go pick an OC up from the cell store at the mall.
More passes? You want McCoy to call more passes? I’d tell ‘em not to throw throw the ball unless Giselle Bundchen streaks onto the field and distracts opposing corners.
We should do it with Norv Turner
But keep him for at least 3 or 4 years to let he work.

I'd take Turner in a heartbeat

An interesting thought which has seen some discussion in various places over the last few days. Certainly, if Norv got the boot, he’d be in demand and would be very keen to get one over the Chargers. That said, I’ve heard the Chiefs express an interest in him should he come on the market, so their attractiveness is pretty much identical to our own. Although the Tebow effect might come into play… Imagine if you could turn Tebow into a passing threat too?! Thanks for your comments. Go Broncos. Trample those Steelers!
Imagine if it was true though....
Broncos… team that Belli could not beat. McD comes in and rips it apart.
Rams…. not an issue as a franchise…. but the DC that solved the Pats best offense in franchise history. Why not spend a season learning what he knows and bring the info back just in time for the post season.
NE and BB
have already hired McD back as an advisor in the playoffs. Do you suppose that is because BB has a hunch Denver will beat Pitt today and face them next week?
The best of the 2011-2012 season is yet to come.
Not a hunch, but wouldn't hurt them just in case
He still wants McD for next year, so why not get an early start on it, and just in case they do have to play us
