The Broncos' Coaching Staff, after reviewing the NE Game, have inactivated Joe Mays for at least the Bolts game. In an unprecedented move, they called Randy Gradishar out of retirement. HC John Fox: "We think Gradishar can still play and besides, he's forgotten more about playing MLB than Joe Mays will ever know...He may have lost a step or two since retirement, but he's still faster & quicker than Mays"
DC Jack Del Rio stated that Trevathan will be the back-up MLB & understudy and hopefully takes notes! He added "Gradishar looks to be in great shape and we all know what a great MLB he was...He already knows the playbook, as I sent it to him at the beginning of the Season, in case we needed some help."
Seriously, I just finished watching the 1st half of the NE Game on Rewind and Joe Mays really sucks...I haven't made it yet to the 2nd half.
On a happier note, I thought Koppen handled Wilfork & Love OK, but absolutely manhandled Brace when he came in at times to spell Fat Vince. Wilfork played the 0,1,3, & 5 tech against us and they used alot of different looks 3-4/4-3/2-5 and variations thereof. I didn't see a total breakdown in our OL and pressure-hits-sacks came from blitzes
