October 19, 2009 -- I am still dwelling on that totally awesome Monday Night victory over the Chargers. You may, or may not remember that this was not the only come back, Monday Night Football win over San Diego in recent Broncos history. Denver had traveled to San Diego to face the Chargers on Monday, October 19, 2009. In that game, San Diego led 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and 20-17 at the half. They took a 23-17 lead in the third quarter. Denver grabbed the lead when QB Kyle Orton connected with TE Tony Scheffler for a 19-yard touchdown pass. The Broncos added a Matt Prater field goal and another touchdown (Orton to WR Brandon Stokley, 5 yards) to give Denver a 34-23 final margin.
