Aren't shutouts great?

Nov 1, 1987 - Denver defeated the visiting Detroit Lions 34-0. In that game, John Elway was directly responsible for three of the Broncos' four touchdowns: a 1st quarter 3-yard run, a 2nd quarter 35-yard pass to Vance Johson and a 4th quarter 7-yard run. Rich Karlis added two field goals and Sammy Winder accounted for the fourth touchdown on a 2-yard run.

This shutout represented the first time since September 23, 1984 that the Broncos had shut out an opponent. It was only the 10th time in franchise history that Denver had blanked an opponent.
