When asked about if Trendon Holiday was talked to about his early "celebration" with the football during his punt return for a TD against the Panthers, Coach fox had this to say;
"He’s got full instructions from Jeff Rodgers, our special teams coach, to bring the ball all the way back to him," Fox said. "Bring it to the sideline, hand it to your coach."
That right there screams oldschool football. Doing things right, and forcing the players to account for their mistakes. It worked with BayBay holding the football and making sure not to let it go during the week, next up; Willis. He needs to see the same treatment, vet or not.
John Fox's approach to the game and the command he has over his players is what I like to see. The Broncos are playing FOR him, not in spite of him as we've had in previous years. Hes truly a good coach, regardless of what I've seen and heard from Panthers fans. They were devoid of talent, not Fox. I'd love to see Peyton finish out the next 2-3 years and be hired on as a offensive coordinator/qb coach/o-line coach what-have-you and share his mind with Oswiler. I think a coaching staff with Fox at the helm, Manning on the offense, and Del Rio on the Defense would be scary good.
Pure fantasy, but the future is bright.
