A Day With Only 1 Loss

November 16 - Denver has played nine regular season games on November 16. The Broncos are 7-1-1 in those games. The wins were over San Diego (1975: 27-17, 2003: 37-8),the New York Jets (1980: 31-24), Kansas City (1986: 38-17, 1998: 30-7), Chicago (1987: 31-29) and Atlanta (2008: 24-20). The tie was with the Houston Oilers (1969: 20-20). The lone loss came in 1997 when the 9-1-0 Broncos were upset by the 7-3-0 Chiefs 24-22. Denver went on to finish the season 12-4-0 and in second place in the AFC West behind 13-3-0 Kansas City. The Broncos had their revenge however when they defeated the Chiefs 14-10 in a Divisional round playoff game on their way to winning their first Super Bowl.
