Past And Present - Eerily Similar

Nov 21, 2004 - In a game eerily reminiscent of Denver's 2012 34-14 beat down of the New Orleans Saints, the Broncos defeated the Saints 34-13 on November 21, 2004. Saints QB Aaron Brooks threw for 377 yards and a touchdown. He also threw three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by LB Al Wilson. The Broncos piled up 165 yards rushing (166 by RB Reuben Droughns - and a touchdown - and -1 by QB Jake Plummer). Plummer passed for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Broncos did not turn the ball over in this game.

An interesting footnote to this story is the fact that the Broncos have beaten the Saints in each of their four last meetings by an average of 14.5 points. In every one of those contests, Denver has scored 34 or more points.
