A Rare Thanksgiving Game for Denver

November 26, 2009 - Denver hosted its first Thanksgiving game. The Broncos faced off against the visiting New York Giants in a game that was televised on the NFL Network. Denver owned the first half, scoring on three Matt Prater field goals (26, 32 and 47 yards). Sandwiched in between field goals #2 and #3 was a touchdown on a 1-yard run by Knowshon Moreno. The Giants got on the board in the third quarter with two field goals to cut the deficit to 16-6. In the fourth quarter, Kyle Orton and Brandon Stokley connected on a 17-yard touchdown pass and Prater added a fourth field goal.
