How about another win over Carolina?

November 9, 1997 - 1997 is the last time that the Broncos won a game on November 9. Part of the reason for that drought is the fact that that date has fallen during Denver's bye week in five of the years between 1997 and 2012. The only other time the Broncos have played on November 9 in that span was a loss to Pittsburgh in 2009 -- part of the 1st four-game losing streak in that season.

In 1997, the Broncos hosted the Carolina Panthers. John Elway completed 15 of 24 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown. Denver added 160 yards on the ground, led by Terrell Davis' 21 rushes for 104 yards. That game also featured Darrien Gordon's returning two punts for touchdowns along with a Pick-6 by Tyrone Braxton. Denver won the game 34-0.

Here's hoping for a repeat of that win on Sunday.
