Fixing the Broncos passing game
Great article that puts most Tebow discussions in the garbage.
He first identifies the problems where not the coordinator, the QB, the O-line, or even the WRs are innocent. Then, he concludes with a solution that identifies key improvements that all parties involved must make.
This is what an objective article on the Tebow topic looks like.

Before posting this here on MHR
I commented in the thread that Doug should read it as this is what an objective article on the Tebow topic looks like. And guess what? It’s been deleted. I’m not banned yet though. (=
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Because how dare you disagree with one of them ;).
Great article though. It’s what I’ve been saying for forever – everyone needs to improve. That includes Tebow yes and it includes McCoy yes and it includes our receivers and O-Line too yes. Blaming just one of those groups is utter stupidity.
And this line of thinking applies to another polarizing topic - McD
They guy wasn’t the complete screw up that some think he was. He was too young, with no connections around the league outside New England, and tried to rule with an iron fist before he ever earned the street cred to get away with it.
He was at fault for doing a lot of yelling at Dove Valley, which eventually fell on deaf ears. He was likely responsible for the departure of Nolan and argued with some of the players, which created a negative, losing atmosphere. It’s possible he viewed the film of the 49-ers practice before asking that it be deleted. He probably muscled his way past Xanders and made personnel decisions that should’ve been left to the GM.
But it’s also a fact that Bowlen and Ellis gave him the keys to Dove Valley in a very lazy and irresponsible way. If Shanahan couldn’t handle it, what made them think the youngest ever somehow could?
And I find it interesting that in 2009, Bronco fans demanded instant success, yet now, we are all buying into the “this is a 3 year rebuilding process and we have just had year 1” argument.
Being in the middle on an issue can give the illusion that one is on another extreme. But at the end of the day, we need to recognize that that is merely a delusion based on our own strong bias.
And in this case, for the Broncos to evolve in the passing game, the types of plays selected must improve, the linemen, backs, receivers, and QB need to execute better, and the defense still needs a starting Mike, another NT, #2CB, and SS as a minimum.
We’re in a rebuild alright. Two more years assuming the next two offseasons go according to plan and generate at least 6 new starters on both sides of the ball. IF that happens, then we should be taking no prisoners in 2014.
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Oh, I don't know about all that.
I was a big fan of the McD hire and I was also saying he needed time. The second year was a disaster that exposed what a disaster the first year was behind the scenes. In hindsight, he never should have been given as much power as he had. We are currently in rebuilding mode because McD was here so no matter how much good he did, he did at least as much damage. The damage the London/SF taping did to the Broncos reputation will never be recovered and because of that alone, I will always hate McDaniels.
Go Broncos!
2011 AFC West Champions
We are rebuilding because of mistakes made by McD AND Shanahan
Remember – we had over 20 players released in 2009 from the Broncos who couldn’t find work with another team in the league.
Do names like Boss Bailey, Nic Clemons, Ebenezer Ekuban, Kenny Peterson, Keary Colbert, Darrell Jackson, Nate Jackson, Dewayne Robertson, Nate Webster, Karl Paymah, Anthony Alridge, Cecil Sapp, Calvin Lowry, Selvin Young, Marquand Manuel, Michael Pittman, Andre Hall, Hamza Abdullah, Dre Bly, Marlon McCree, Edell Shepherd, and Patrick Ramsey sound familiar? What team are they playing for now?
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Hamza Abdullah
is a FA. In case you miss him.

Tim Tebow
Yes I do! I really do!
No I don’t.
I hear Nic Clemons played for the Omaha Nighthawks. Woo hooo!
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Dre Bly
did catch on with the 49-ers, but he’s out of the league now.
I am not interested in your exaggeration of reality. I am interested in reality itself.
Shanny was awesome.
How in the heck were we not 4-12 that year?
Or was it all Cutler?

Tim Tebow
interesting to read the comments......
Given the tendency over at that site to house more of the Tebow doubters than at MHR, it was easier to see a pattern. To point, it was interesting to watch each side only comment on quotes in a balanced article which they could use for their own bias. BTW, nice job, Ted…it was a great article.
