Constitution question from the UK
Sorry for the non-football question, but can someone explain to me why Tim – who was born outside of the USA – can stand for president after he’s 35?
---------------------
YFF team: Sorenson, Santon, Taiwo, Romeu, Sig, Tony V, Moses, Silva, Campbell, PCisse, White Pele
In the constitution
In says that “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States” and while Tim Tebow was born outside the US he was still a US citizen at birth, which is how Constitutional scholars view the meaning of the word. Link Hope that helps.
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
Basically his parents were both U.S. citizens
doesn’t matter where they had their child. He or she would still be a U.S. citizen too.
As the ancient Tibetan Philosophy states "Don't start none, won't be none!"

John mccain
was also born outside the us. It doesn’t matter if your parents are both us citizens, but I seem to recall there being an issue if only one is.
The more important question is if tebow was natural born, arenas more supernatural to me.

Andrew Luck may or may not blast out of the cannon ike Peyton Manning did, but there are no guarantees.
Robert Griffith III may do the same or turn into a Mark Sanchez, only time will tell. But, I think there is one (Ryan Tannehill) who will make the right team very happy in a few years, and the other teams who passed on him like they did with Joe Montana and Tom Brady will be kicking themselves in the backsides and cussing their scouts…
