2011: MHR I Need Your Help With An Upcoming Post
Last year I tried to gather some feedback from the staffers and contributors here at MHR to put together a montage of the past season. I had a such a great time putting the post together, and I think it was well received here, I thought we should give a shot again this year. Plus, it's the slow part of the offseason and one last big re-run of the past year might be a nice way to distract us for a little bit longer until March 13th, when the 2012 NFL season begins.
So here's how it works. I will probably continue to collect everyone's answers over the course of the next week. When I have everyone's replies I will build a post and do my best to apply as much of your answers as I possibly can into the text of the post. My goal here is to make this much less a product of mine and much more a product of ours. It's far more interesting that way.
I'll then sift through all of the song suggestions and attempt to create a soundtrack to the text. This is my favorite part as music tends to offer a different emotional perspective than text. Combined, the music and words offer a completely different reading experience that I think is a lot of fun.
You can check out last year's final product here.
So, if this sounds interesting to you at all, please take a few minutes and answer these few short questions. You can leave the answers in the comments section, or if you'd prefer not to give them away ahead of time or have to debate them on the boards you can also send them to my email at blindside19@gmail.com
Here's what I need to know:
1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
Thanks everyone! I'll do my best to have the final post up quickly once I've received your answers.

1) Wow! I could write a book. This season was one of the best ever for me. Elway coming back, a defensive HC hired, the draft, the lockout over, Tebow comes in and almost beats SD, every single comeback win, playoffs baby.
2) 80 yards (or however far he ran) of up on my feet yelling run, run, run at Bay Bay. Duh.
3) The Orton trade fell through. He’s our starter.
4)here

Great idea, and I can't wait to see how it pans out!
1.) Like Dig, way too many to choose from. Elway’s return, drafting Von, beating the Jets, beating the Bears….beating the Steelers!!!
2.) DeMariyus’ catch and run against the Steelers. There is nothing else.
3.) The egg-laying against Orton and the Chiefs. We could see it coming a mile away, but that performance, with everything that was on the line, was unacceptable and heart-breaking.
4.) Can’t argue with Journey (Don’t Stop Believing)!

1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
The final drive against the Jets. The Bears game. And the final play of the Steelers game. All three will be remembered by for the rest of my life.
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
80 Yards. One and Done. I don’t think I’ve ever screamed as I did during that play.
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
Lions game.
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
Not a musical person. lol
haha
1. Dumervil forcing the fumble against Pittsburgh. Without that, we don’t make it to overtime. This should be elevated as one of the most important plays of the entire season. Also loved Tebow’s NYJ td run.
2. It’s got to be the 80 yard TD.
3. Orton dropping the ball against the Raiders.
4. Please make it an instrumental! Anything with words is too distracting. Haha, for some reason the first thing that came to mind was the theme to Chariots Of Fire, but I know that’s dated.
point 4 is interesting
I’m a HUGE fan of The Dark Knight and Captain America soundtracks. Maybe something from one of them?

Here we go
1. Every comeback in the 4th we did
2. The overtime first pass to beat the Steelers
3. The season opener and how we got hammered the entire night, versus our biggest rival, to the whole world, at home! bah!
4. The great and popular DJ hit “All he does is win”
This signature was sacked by Von Miller.
I bleed Orange & Blue. GB².
oh yeah
I have to consider that 63-yard field goal. That was an ultimate slap in the face right there.
Oh tune..
I had forgotten that 63 yarder… why did you make me remember? lol
Sure one of the most disgusting moments of the year…

I remember your post from last year. One of the greatest single posts ever on MHR
1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
Tebow drive against the Jets, Woody’s FF on Barber, Prater nailing the 59 yarder to win vs the Bears, the 6 game win streak, 5 consecutive road wins…
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
The overtime win vs the Steelers. By far
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
45-10 beatdown by the Lions. The atmosphere at Mile High was disgusting, all the d-bag Lions fans that dropped by the following week, and that Tebow looked every bit the bust the talking heads were talking about on espn.
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
Not sure, but I agree with Tunesmith above when he says something instrumental.
I highly encourage everyone to rec this post up so it doesnt get pushed down too fast, trust me, the finished product is well worth it

1) What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season? There were a lot of moments. But the one that really sticks out is at the end of the Jets game when the DBs wouldn’t even try to stop Tebow from scoring. Bears collapse at the end of the game. Prater’s clutch performances to pull out victories. Tebow to Demaryius Thomas to beat the Steelers.
2) Emotionally, what was your highest point this season? When EFX finally made the decision to start Tebow.
3) Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season? Really didn’t have a let down per say, since we got a lot more than we could of expected out of the team.
4) If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be? First one that came to mind was “Bad To The Bone”! George Thouroghgood and the Delaware Destoyers…

Awesome
1. Drafting Miller, Watching Von Doom meeting at the QB, Mays laying the wood on Ryan Matthews. TT and WM running all over thr Raiders.
2. Bears game, Snatching the victory away even after missing that on side kick.
3. Pats game both times. Fumbles and watching TE’s run all over us.
4. I’m a get pumped kind of guy so with the way TT and WM ran the rock this year I would go with Bulls on Parade- Rage Against the Machine.

Here's mine
1. Second Raiders game, Jets, Dumvervil’s sack on Brady, and Steelers.
2. Passover vs. Steelers.
3. Loss to Raiders on Monday night.
4. “I Get Knocked Down” by Smashmouth
1. Going to my first game when San Diego came to town (the crowd reaction was like night and day when you compare when Orton was out there to when Tebow came in), along with all of the comebacks and last second wins.
2. 80 yards to victory!
3. The season opener, namely Orton’s drop.
4. “Who We Are” by RED
"I get sick when I hear athletes say, 'I'm not a role model.' Yes, you are. You're just not a very good one." - Tim Tebow
1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
6 game winning steak with incredible comebacks against Miami an Chicago were great!
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
Beating Oakland, KC, and San Diego on the road!
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
1-4 start looked to be a very down year!
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
Oops! Forgot a song. How about “God’s Got an Army” in honor of Tebow?

1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season? Watching Von Doom and the defence shut teams down, Matt Praters glorious OT kicks, watching the team and fans respond to T2.
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season? When T2 rallied us to beat Miami
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season? Losing at home to SD and STILL hearing that Orton Gave us our best chance to win.
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be? Livin on a Prayer? Eye of the Tiger? Livin on the Edge? Maybe have those Glee kids do a mashup? lol
Tim Tebow is Denver's 2012 starting QB. I'm not even a little sorry that offends some of you.

1. Favorite moments: Drafting Von; NYJ win; Pitt playoff win
2. 1st Q against the Pats in regular season… I thought we’d truly arrived.
3. 2nd KC game… we were terrible, and looked like we’d been “figured out”… to some extent we were, but Pitt just wasn’t healthy enough to execute the plan and TT had a good day.
4. Given the “work in progress” that is our team…. how about “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World?
1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
Forcing OT in the Miami game DJ’s strip sack, Prater’s game winner against Chicago, Tebow’s game winning run against the Jets, Von sticking the Sanchize to preserve the W, running all over the Pat’s in the first quarter of the regular season game. Beating the Raiders, Chiefs, and Chargers on the road.
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
I think you would have to be very picky not to choose Demaryius Thomas rumbling to the endzone in OT against the Steelers.
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
Going 0-3 to finish out the regular season. Too many flashbacks there. The loss to the Lions is up there too.
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
I know it was written for a hockey team, but Megadeath’s “Crush Em” seems kind of fitting.
"You’re only great if you win something. I mean, Alexander wasn’t Alexander the Mediocre or Alexander the Average. He was Alexander the Great, and there’s a reason for it."-Shannon Sharpe
Here we go:
1) Doom’s sack on Tom Brady; 80 yard TD catch by DT; seeing Von’s sack dance; Champ’s 2-pick performance; watching Dawkins lay out the hits before he got injured
2) Beating Pitt in the playoffs
3) Both NE games, as someone else mentioned. Yuck. I also agree with whoever mentioned the Lions game; I’m a Lions fan, but first and foremost a Broncos fan, and I was sorely disappointed with the way the Lions and their fans carried themselves after that one
4) Although I’m not a huge fan of the song, it’s fitting: It’s my turn to fly – The Urge
My turn---
1- All our wins specially the Jets and Pitt
2- OT win against Pitt in playoffs
3- Also the KO drop against the Raiders
4- Alive – by POD
My thoughts
1. The win against the Raiders was my first favorite moment. There’s nothing more satisfying than beating THE hated division rival on the road after trailing 17-7 at halftime. The drive against the Jets, that put us a game back. Even though the Jets turned out to be mediocre a win on national TV in the final drive kept the momentum going. That is also the game that earned Tebow some respect from Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders. The 59-yard FG by Matt Prater against the Bears, I thought it was a long shot at best. I’ve never seen a better kick than that—-cleared the bar by 10-15 yards. The playoff game against the Steelers. Feeling the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and everything inbetween. That game was a snapshot of our season.
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
11 seconds in OT;) I don’t know if I have a better memory than that—-even the SB’s weren’t as great as that because I watched the game with my brother and his family, that memory will stay with me forever. We both went nuts at the end!
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
The final game against the Chiefs. Scoring 3 stinking points and losing at home to a mediocre neckbeard.
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
"Work Song" by Nat and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley I’m a jazz guy;)
Thank you Broncos for such a fantastic year! Thank you for coming together as a TEAM! Thank you for giving us a reason to believe again! I love you guys!!!
as for the Jets being mediocre
I’m pretty sure they make the playoffs if we don’t beat them so that is still a quality win :)

Hope I'm not late to the dance PH
1. What are some of your favorite Bronco moments of this past season?
The 4th quarter comeback’s that Tebow rallied with the team
2. Emotionally, what was your highest point this season?
The 4th quarter comeback against the Jets. I think this was our biggest upset/comeback overall. It was a huge win emotionally for this team. The jets are considered a contender and have been for the last few years. We stuck it to them though! I can’t stand New Yorker’s.
3. Emotionally, what was your lowest point this season?
The Detroit game. I had high hopes for Tebow going into this game, not all was his fault but man did he look like a 10 year old out there that game! I thought the FO was setting him up for failure, and the media was tortuous in regards to Timmy. I’m glad they kept him in the remainder of the season, cause what a great ride he delivered!
4. If you had to choose one song that best fits your feelings of this season, what would it be?
“I Believe” lol
~ "It was nice being young, when players were heroes and the NFL wasn’t such a business." ~ McGeorge
I liked
McGahee sprinting away from Matt Giordano in the Broncos/Raiders game for the clinching touchdown, Matt Prater’s 59-yard field goal at the end of regulation to beat the Bears, a win over the Jets/Steelers, Decker’s catch at Arrowhead

My thoughts
1. The hiring of Elway, the comeback against the Jets, the 1st quarter of the 1st Pats game, VonDoom laying the wood on QB’s, Bailey’s INT’s.
2. Orton’s horrific performance on MNF & the Lions game with Tim.
3. DT’s catch & run vs Steelers
4. I have to go with instrumentals again. You chose well last year for the most awesome post ever on MHR.

RANDY GRADISHAR in the HOF!!!!
1) When Woody forced the fumble from Barber, and the whole Chicago game, (and not just cause I got a game used ball from the game) and when the entire offense piled up in the end zone on top of Timmy after he ran it in (wasn’t that the Jets game?).
2) Highest point was easily after the (second) Raiders game. We finally beat a team by more than a few points (two scores even!) and I thought We had turned a corner. Which we had, just not as sharp a corner as I hoped (you know, going to and winning the big one kinda sharpness).
3) After losing to the Patriots in the playoffs worse than We lost to ‘em in the regular season. It was like, as a team, We apparently hadn’t learned much (‘like’, I said ‘like’ We hadn’t… Not that We didn’t, but ‘like’ We didn’t. Just to clarify ;).
4) Hard To Imagine

NICKELBACK If Today Was Your Last Day
So many lyrics from this song suite our 2011 Broncos. Example: every second counts because there is no second try. Example 2: Do whatever it takes, never give up..etc. etc.
Cool song to.

Hey everyone
I just wanted to let you know that I am nearly finished with the promised post. I was a bit under the weather over the weekend and I wasn’t able to write as quickly as I normally do. However, the text is done and now I am simply placing some finishing touches on the final product. It will be up very soon!
Thanks again everyone for your input!
