CHEAP! Its not something anybody really likes being called. Another way to look at is the old saying "you cant take it with you". I am becoming increasingly convinced that our FO is either putting up another infamous smoke screen, or they really are being "cheap" follow along if you feel the same....

All I keep hearing from the FO and now our very knowledgeable fan base is how we need to not spend money on big name FA's. Well I am not in this boat. Do I think we should build through the draft? Well hell ya I do. My question is why does that have any effect on pursuing big time FA's?

I understand the saving money for the future idea, I just don't agree. We came within two games of the super bowl last year! LAST YEAR! Why wouldn't we think we are but a few good to great players away from getting to the dance?

Yes, I also understand we were 8-8, but I believe with Tebow we are much more like a 10-11 win team. SO why not spend the money. Im not saying go all eagles, but damn. Some of the posters on this site act like its coming out of their allowance. This league is a win now league. That's why Orton is gone. So why save money for years down the road when a Carr/Williams/Tolbert or any other FA that could come in and give us a huge lift right now.

So yes I do agree that spending money on over the hill players or one hit wonders is a bad idea, but..........

If you pay second tier money, you get second tier players....you then get a second tier team.
