A New Taste Of Denver

Hello everybody. The goal of this post is to share my mock offseason for our Denver Broncos. We had a great 2011 season, but we have a lot of needs and this is how I would address them:

Free Agency:

Re-Sign:

FB Spencer Larsen

TE Daniel Fells

OT Chris Clark

DT Brodrick Bunkley

DT Ryan McBean

K Matt Prater

P Britton Colquitt

Signings:

Jeff Garcia (QB)

He is 41 but he has stayed in great shape by playing in the IFL. He was once a great scrambling QB and would make a great mentor for Tim Tebow and Adam Weber.

Mike Tolbert (RB)

He would make a great pickup and we would be taking him from a division rival.

2011 stats: 121 carries for 490 yards, 8 tds

Steve Smith (WR)

He is a fairly young veteran and could be a 100 plus catch this season

2011 stats: 11 catches for 124 yards, 1 td

John Carlson (TE)

A fairley young TE with good hands and decent blocking skills

2011 stats: Injured Reserve

Geoff Hangartner (OG)

Geoff can play RG while Chris Kuper is injured and then move to LG when he returns

2011 stats: 16 games, 16 starts

Matt Giordano (S)

A younger veteran safety that has good hands and good instincts and on top of that he would be staying in the division

2011 stats: 70 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 5 interceptions

Terrell Thomas (CB)

A young CB that would make a great #2

2011 stats: Injured Reserve

Dan Conner (MLB)

Still only 26, he could serve the team for years to come

2011 stats: 75 tackles, 1 forced fumble

Larry Grant (MLB)

He could compete for the starting spot and add depth to our MLB position

2011 stats: 39 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble

Jason Jones (DT)

Didn't play too well with his transition to DE last year, but would be a great pass rushing DT

2011 stats (as a DE): 27 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble
