Around SBN: Celtics Seething Over Embarrassing Loss

Just wanted your guys 2 cents on this.

First its been a long time since I've posted anything, but have read every article posted and love doing everyday. I was thinking of our RB situation and thinking we need more of a 1a and 1b. Right know, IMO, we have 1a and a couple of 3's or 4's. McGahee will do good next year, but has some health issues. With a 1b, he could stay healther for more of the year. Back in 2009 we drafted Knowshon Moreno. I was happy with the pick, because I didn't want SD to get him. I thought he was going to be there next LT...WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW was I wrong. What makes me mad is the McDaniels gave him every oppertunity to suceed and never gave a guy like Peyton Hillis a chance. Here is what I would like your guy's opion on??? Josh McDaniels is know back in NE...that's right. Why not trade him back to the Pats for what ever...DT, MLB, CB, draft pick, or add in something to get Hernandez. What do you guys think? As far as the RB situation goes for #1b, I like 3 guys. Mike Tolbert, would love to take him from SD and add him to our roster. Big guy who could fill 3 roles for us. RB 1b, FB, and 3rd down back. In 4 years in SD---15g for 85att-352(4.1)-5td; plus add in his recieving ability's of---27rec-251(9.3)-1.5td's. I say good reciever because he has improved every year in every year. The only down side he averages 1 fumble a year also...but with McGahee's problems and we all know Moreno's problems that's not that bad. #2 guy I like Tim Hightower. Didn't stay healthy this year but still averages--- 13g for 128att-503(3.9)-6td's. Add in his recieving ability's of---31rec-213(6.9)-0td's. The BIGGEST problem with him is his 12 fumbles in only 53 games (3.6/16 games). The last guy hasn't done much in his 6 years in the league, but thought when he came out of college he would have been a great replacement for Tatum Bell. Jerious Norwood. Not big at only 5'11" and 205lbs, but has wheels. In his 6 years he has averaged--- 11g for 67att-345(5.1)-1td. Not much for recieving but he did average---16rec-152(9.5)-0.5td's. The really good news is he has only 3 fumbles in 66 career games(0.7/16games). I think we should add 2 of these guys. Mike Tolbert or Tim Hightower and Juerious Norwood. Tolbert and Hightower and sub in for FB, and we can use Norwood as our #3 back. Then we can keep Ball, Johnson, or Fanin for our 4th back. Anyways that what has been on my mind for a while. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated and have a great day!!!

If I was Elway, I'd trade NoShow to you for your Truck.

I like your ideas, ship him to NE for a position of need or a pick. Or like you said, bring in one or more of the above backs to help McGahee with the work load. Either way, get rid of NoShow. It’s time to move on. He has potential as a change of pace guy but is to oft injured.

While my truck is a 1997 Ford F250 with about 210,000 mile and still runs like a top.

So, you’ll have to add alot more then just Moreno for my truck…sorry.

Anyways thanks for the feed back KK.

I remember you now.

That’s not your ’79. I asked about it a while back. Nice ride.

Momma loves the '79

Someday I’ll get her one. Mine is early ‘66-’77 Ford Bronco, thats my truck of choice.

I used to have a '77 Bronco.

My favorite vehicle I have ever owned. God I miss that thing. Finally gave it up because I no longer had the time to work on it. And I have regretted it ever since.

Trade him for Chung or Mayo.

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

What about Ron Brace???

Could help in the inside with Bronkley and Warren.

I seriously doubt Bill B parts with either player

especially Mayo, but it would be nice.

I was kidding.

Knowshon isn’t going anywhere.

No one will have him

He is damaged goods and his not being able to run past a yard line without tripping on it makes him even less likely to go anywhere.

All kidding aside. If the Knowshon from the screen pass and the KC games shows up every week, he is worth keeping around.

It's still possible he amounts to something.

He has shown a few signs here and there. I think he will pull his head out this year.

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Chung our mayo,

I like it but doubt they would make that trade straight across. Also really doubt they give up hernandez, fox will probably find his 1b in the later rounds of the draft, ie Turbin

NE won't want him. McD knows he made a mistake.

He had to give him a chance because he was a 1st round draft pick, but NE wouldn’t trade for him now.

by macklure on Feb 2, 2012 1:27 PM MST reply actions

NE did make the choice to bring McDaniels back for next year though.

So maybe they make the mistake and trade us something for Moreno.

This is off topic (sorta)

but is anyone else sick of seeing the unfit, skinny with a gut, white guy in tighty whities on MHR recently? I know, I know, it’s a comedy. I get that. But jeepers creepers my stomach churns every time I click on this page. Not right on any level.

Yeah Im sick of it too

I hate when a new show comes on tv and they cram it down your throat. Comedy Central is doin that with a show called Key and Peele, which I refuse to watch because they’ve over done it on the commercials. That and what I do see on the commercials made me lose brain cells

BB doesn't usually get the worse end of any deal (kind of like Andy Reid)

so I doubt he would give up much of value to get KnoMo, unless McD still sees something in him that most Broncos fans don’t.

Win the individual battles at the LOS - all else flows from that.

You may have identified the only team that'd give up anything...

…of value for Moreno.

I’d be down with this.
