Hard Knocks: Denver Broncos Edition

Hey Broncos fans. Niner fan here, and just wondering what your feelings are for HBO's Hard Knocks series. I seriously think HBO is going to have Denver as their number #1 priority just for the sole reason of Tim Tebow. Apparently all the big networks has found out Tim Tebow = $$$$$$.

PS: Congrats on an awesome season. The team definitely has a bright future ahead of them. Just like the Niners we are both growing for something big for the next 5-10 years. Cheers to hoping we run our divisions for the coming years because I do not like the Chiefs, Chargers, and Raiders.

Welcome. Anyone who doesn’t like the Chargers, Chiefs and Raiders is A-Okay in my book.

Secondly, I would love for Hard Knocks to come to Denver but the Broncos won’t do it. Fox and Elway would never allow the kind of access that Hard Knocks requires.

I hate the
Raiders: they are the hated rival across the bridge for so many years. And lot of us fans just laugh at their clusterf**k of a mess of an organization year after year. No 1st, 2nd, or a 3rd draft pick this year! Amazing really. For what? A broken Carson Palmer, and unproven/ bad character issues Terrell Pryor. And they let go their only bright spot Hue Jackson go (not saying much still).

Chargers: Went to school down in Southern Cali area, and Chargers fans talk sh*t like they ever won anything in their life. Really pathetic and annoying. Another amazing thing. A team that was dubbed to be an SB contender for the past 5 years, never got even close.

Chiefs: Joe Montana. That is all.

I've been curious about that happening in denver.

Would be pretty cool to watch.
Also lately I’ve been thinking about how many similarities the Broncos and Niners have.

Tebow-Alex Smith, obvious similarities.
Both with new head coaches,
Both with 1st round pass rushing rookie phenoms
Young receiving cores
Reliant on run game
Saw the niners do a little read option vs. the giants
Both In less than stellar divisions
….
Now if only we had a Vernon Davis!

Definitely a mirror image almost. Especially the defense.

THis coming draft, Broncos should def pick a TE up. Lot of awesome talent in the 2-4 round picks with gusy like Stanford Coby Fleener and LA-Lafayette Ladarius Green.

it wouldnt be a bad thing really

i recall the Jets did it and still made it to the AFCC. And the other teams that did them, well cant blame Hard Knocks, its just how their team performed later in the season.

Would love it.

But I think it’s doubtful. Most teams see it more as a nuisance even though we the fans would love it. We passed on it last year and I’d be surprised if we wanted to do it this year.

I'd love to see it

From the football side of things, the coaches on the ground would all but certainly be against it, citing the unnecessary distraction and perhaps even that it could provide at least a little bit of overall insight to enemies.

However, those coaches don’t make these decisions. This would be a decision for Ellis and Elway, IMO… Albeit with advice and counsel from the boots on the ground.

In other words, Foxy Bear will have his say, but itks not his decision. If higher management thinks there’s enough money involved in actual cash as well as a potential increase in team popularity due to the exposure it creates…then all bets are off.

In other words x2… I’m not sure it’s likely, but I am sure it’s not as UNlikely as others make it sound.

If we can do

some kind of “Bronco fan only” hard knocks it would be fantastic. The ad nauseum coverage of the MSM this past season certainly lived up to the title and “added nauseum” to the season. Can you imagine giving this pack of boobs and self promoting blowhards access through training camp? I’m honestly beginning to think the NFL, if it wants to retain some credibility, is going to need to cut ties with long time partner ESPN. ESPN is trying desperately to add a WWE element to the NFL while being hypercritical of certain teams and players. Ed Werder clearly inventing a controversy regarding Brady Quinn while the team was preparing for the playoffs is clear evidence of this. At a certain point, ESPN and their invented talking points cross the line from promoting the league that is their business partner, to turning people away.

The "Experts" you see on television are all striving to be right 30% of the time. If they are right more than this percentage, they are not putting any opinions out there that will get a reaction and will lose their jobs. Something to keep in mind while basing your opinions on what you hear from the Hoges, Claytons, Cowherds, Esiasons, and Baylesses of the world...
