Super Bowl Predictions Contest Winners
Four days before the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, I invited our readers to participate in one final swag contest for the 2011 season. Kirk Davis very graciously offered up three autotgraphed hats as swag to be won.
It was announced that three ways a reader might win one of those hats: (1)Have the closest prediction of the final score, (2)Correctly pick the winning team, and (3)Participate in the contest.
Now that the dust has settled from the Super Bowl, and from the process of randomly drawing winners from our 86 participants (more on that in a moment), Mile High Report would like to congratulate the following winners:
(1)Closest Score: kanfan who made an exact prediction of New York 21, New England 17.
(2)Correct Winning Team: 49 of the 86 entries picked the Giants to win. Randomly drawn from those 49 was turnertwo2003.
(3)Participating in the Contest: randomly drawn from our 86 participants was GosselinM.
If our winners would be so kind -- please use the email button at the bottom of the front page to send Kirk a mailing address and he'll get your hats on their way to you very quickly.
Congratulations to our winners, and hearty "thank you" to everyone who participated for making it such an enjoyable contest.

Kaptain Kirk...You the man! Thanks for letting me make a dumb selection and lose the whole thing, I enjoyed rooting the whole time...
I was so close on the numbers pool and I was a rootin’ tootin’ son of a gun….

I hope we can put on more of these in the future (Meaning I’m planning on it).

Tons of fun!
Thanks for the fun contest! Even though I didn’t win, it was still fun to enter and a cool contest put on by the site!

Why were the Cowboys' and Chargers' helmets on that billboard with the Pats and NYG?
Was it because they were the two teams every analyst loves to pick to be in the Superbowl? :-/
Not sure why the Cowboys are there, but I'm guessing it's from the 07-08 playoffs.
Chargers lost the AFC Championship to the Patriots that season and the Cowboys lost to the Packers in the divisional game. Maybe it was because the Cowboys were a No. 1 seed that year?

I take that back...
The Super Bowl logo is clearly XLVI instead of XLII… So no freaking clue why the Chargers and Cowboys are there.

That was a picture from the SB editor that the staff uses
We aren’t supposed to use anything else without permission (copyright laws ans all). I have no idea either re: the other helmets unless the photographer’s picture is taken out of context. Or a closeup of another picture that would explain that.

Congrats kanfan, great prediction
Although I’m guessing you never thought the 21 would include a safety lol.
