This is who we draft rounds 1-3!

Instead of doing another mock I decided id look at the top 3 positions we need. I believe this is DT, CB, RB or CB, DT, RB, or RB, DT, CB.... I think you get the point. We need these top 3 positions, and I believe we should take best overall player at one of these positions the first 3 rounds. I been looking over various websites rankings, most not updated from the combine, but I'm attempting to figure the best possible outcome if we went each direction. I'm going to be using the information on the Prospects from CBS, with a few post combine adjustments.

To start this of i'm going to go over the pre-combine rankings for the DTs, CBs, and RBs projected to go in the top 3 rounds, then im going to make some adjustments based of the post combine score from NFL.com, which will be next to the players name in parentheses. I think this is the best way to get a true value of the player. By combining rankings that where based of scouts, and then adjusting them by combine results and prevents us from getting caught up in the moment from the combine. Strength and speed only mean so much you have to take into account skill, ability and coaching. Then im going to break the positions down by who should be available by each round leaving the most probable in bold.

Defensive Tackles (DT)

Round 3, Pick 25

Ronnie Hilman (76), Cyrus Gray (75.5) Doug Martin (74.2) Chris Rainey (73.7)

After going through the 3 positions I determined this is the best player for each position that is most likely to be on the board in the first 3 rounds

Round 1, Pick 25

Lamar Miller RB (87), , Alfonzo Dennard CB (85.7) Jerel Worthy DT(79.5),

Round 2, Pick 25

Chris Polk RB (86), Chase Minnifield CB (81.5), Marcus Forston DT(64.5)

Round 3, Pick 25

Doug Martin RB (74.2), Leonard Johnson CB (72.2), Kendall Reyes DT (56.5)

It appears to me we can get good to decent value in the latter rounds at RB, and CB. So I would pick DT first then CB then RB, it would be

Jerel Worthy (79.5)

Chase Minnifield (81.5)

Doug Martin (74.2)

What would you do?
