It was two weeks ago, or so, that the Indianapolis Colts made a decision to cut ties with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Today, with news that Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos agreed to a contract, Colts' owner Jim Irsay, who made that decision, had this to say about Manning and his deal with Denver:

"I congratulate Peyton as he heads to a tremendous organization in the Denver Broncos. We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his Hall of Fame career."

To me, Irsay has handled this situation about as well as possible. The circle is now complete and like John Elway nearly 30 years ago, Peyton Manning heads from the Colts to the Broncos.
