Peyton Manning spent 14 years with the Indianapolis Colts wearing #18. The Broncos, however, retired the number in honor of the team's first quarterback Frank Tripucka. Tripucka had given his blessing last week for the Broncos and Manning to bring the number 'out of retirement', calling it an honor if Manning wore the same number.

It became official today, but only after Manning himself spoke to Tripucka to get his blessing. Manning, presumably wearing an orange #18 jersey, will be introduced to the media at a press conference due to start at 1:00 PM mt.
