The Places We'll Go, the Things We'll See

For those of us that are fans of this decision, it feels like we got that new (ok... used, but still cool) bike for Christmas. And while the highlight is undoubtedly the moment the wrapping falls away to reveal the shiny gears and surgically repaired frame, there are other great moments before you ever strap on that helmet (public safety announcement) as you start to think about all the places you'll go, and how those places will look different from the saddle of that new bike.

So before Peyton even laces it up, I find myself starting to think about the 2012 Broncos and what might look a little different. Join me ATJ...

1) The relentless mile-high no-huddle--I'm seeing gassed Raider d-linemen, gaping holes and white towels

2) The resurgence of Knowshon Moreno--OK, I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy, but i see a third-down back putting a hitch in opponents' pass rush by ripping off the occasional 30-yard screen pass. Before the most recent injury (never a good qualifier, I will grant), Knowshon was showing signs of finding his way--not as an every-down back, but as a legitimate threat to make big plays out of the backfield. I'm liking the prospect of Peyton hitting him in stride in space.

3) Eric Decker, fantasy stud--DT may give him a run for his money, but I think the trade's biggest beneficiary and pole-position for favorite PM target is Eric Decker. The guy's smart, a good route runner, and has got hands. His separation anxiety will be a thing of the past with Peyton firing the ball into tight windows, and PM will be looking for him in the red zone.

4) The return of the (mystery) tight end--The TE has been virtually invisible in the Bronco passing game, and in my crystal ball he's still invisible. So who's it going to be? When I ask the magic eight-ball whether Virgil Green will be the week one starter, it says "Ask again later," Julius Thomas? "My sources say no." Well clearly there's no Dallas Clark on the roster, but I hear one's available, and we might not even have to unretire Floyd Little's number to sign him cheap.

OK, what's got you excited about our shiny new (OK...used) QB?
