Remove names from the back of jerseys

Much like everyone here at MHR, I am through and through a Bronco fan. I get into FA, and the draft, and UDFA and all of that looking at prospects and guys that I wish the Broncos would bring in to the team. Much like many of you, I've been burned by buying jerseys....cutler, marshall (converted to tebow), royal, moreno....and now only ONE of those guys is still on the team...(and maybe not for long...thanks a lot Mr. Sauced). So, I'm going to rant a little here...bare with me.

We have heard this many times from Elway and from pretty much everyone around the NFL, something along the lines of:

"I want to put the <team> in the best position to win championships"

"No one likes the business side, but the NFL is a business"

"No one player is greater than the team"

etc, etc, etc. Any cliche you can think of when players (particularly fan favorites) are traded, cut, etc.

I agree, I think we all agree that we all want to see our guys take home the Lombardi trophy this year, and next year, and the year after that. But, we also are fans of the players too right? We buy their jerseys, we buy their trading cards, we buy posters, fatheads, keychains, tshirts all of that. But one thing that Elway said during the press conference yesterday really stood out for me. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something along the lines of "I want to take all the personalities out"

If that's the case, then they should just take the names off of the jerseys. USC kind of has that philosophy, that they recognizes the TEAM and the name on the front of the jersey is more important than the back of the jersey. I think we should do this in Denver.......well when I say "we" I mean the Broncos. Of course they wouldn't do that because the NFL would much rather take your money for buying marshall jersey, and a tebow jersey as opposed to one time for a 15 jersey....But if they did take the names off, would you consider buying a Broncos jersey of each number and just breaking out the one of whatever player who's currently your favorite on the team? What do you guys think?
