Tebow was traded to the NY Jets for a fourth and sixth round picks.

Elway wanted to get rid of Tebow so there will not be any distraction for his decision to sign Manning. Acquiring Peyton Manning makes sense in terms of trying to win another AFC championship and the Superbowl.

I really have no problem with trading Tebow if we get a backup QB that is as good or better than Tebow. Elway and Xander's latest idea of bringing in Caleb Hanie is really questionable given how poorly he played against Denver when Tebow beat him.

The Broncos should be looking at backup QBs like Matt Leinart from Houston. The Broncos need a backup QB like Steve Beuerlein was. We need a backup who can start and win games if Manning goes down.

I really appreciate everything Tebow did last season leading the Broncos to the playoffs, and the big win in the playoffs against the Steelers.

Tebow should treat his new backup QB job as an opportunity to play if Sanchez is injured or is having a bad season.

If the Tebow trade falls apart because of the $5 million in his contract--I would welcome him back as a backup.
