the high feeling of victory
After a hard fought win....

To share in defeat
The rotten years, forgotten years
Empty stadium seats....

When a player is hurt and down
The heart stopping pause and prayer
Till he's shown safe and sound...

I know about games in the rain
Braving the snow and wind
I'm a Bronco fan, tried and true
What did you call me again?

Bandwagon fan? Player lover?
And you based it on what fact?
That I'll miss Tebow a little bit
Just what is wrong with that?

I can debate you fact for fact
Remember Elway and "the Drive'
That hit McCaffrey made in the bowl
Barely left that Packer alive!

I fondly recall the Mile High Salute
started by Terrell D
And Shannon's call to the Prez
Making the Patriot's plea....

But I also recall the fourth-quarter comebacks
The eighty yard pass down the field
The excitement of the unknown
That Timmy brought to the field...

He was a Bronco, one of us
We should be proud, but then
You call me out, a 'fairweather fan'
And question me again....

It's beyond comprehension, the fury
The sheer madness of it all
We are a nation divided
And a nation divided will fall.....

If anything, he graced our lives
When he wore our orange and blue
Why hate, belittle, or insult.....
What does that do for you?

We move on....we move forward
Accept and proudly proclaim
I am a Denver Bronco fan
And I am not ashamed.....

I love Tim Tebow, always will
I welcome Peyton as well
How it all balances out....
Only time will tell...
