No doubt about it, there were some great moments last year thanks to the heroics of Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. Lucky for us Bronco fans, we've had a lot to cheer about over the past half century and I thank the franchise and it's players for that. We are fortunate fans for sure. Unfortunately though, there has been quite a bit for us fans to rant about lately thanks to all of the changes that have been made to the Broncos front office, coaching staff and team members over the past few years. But ranting is not a bad thing.
Furthermore, as far as this "Final Rant" business is concerned, I think it's nonsense. Rant all you want for as long as you want, it's one of the only things that sports fanatics can do to feel like a part of this team and the league. Heck there are a couple ol'tymers right now drinking pops and discussing whether Red Miller should have went for it on 4th down in super bowl XII. For those that don't want to read one more stinking rant about a certain subject. It's pretty simple, if the post title indicates that it may be about a topic that you'd rather not discuss or would like to forget about....Then Do Not Open the Post. Do Not torture yourself or others. It's that easy people.
Reminiscing is what we do, we look to the future, dissect the present and continually mull over the past because the past is so darn interesting. The future isn't tangible, the present is fleeting but the past is where it's at for us fans. The past for a successful franchise like the Broncos is rich with stories, coulda beens, great players, characters and conquests. When K2 was running us through the jersey numbers of the past, you never heard anyone say "get over it Kirk, that's in the past so let's move on". We all had fun discussing the successes and failures of the players that wore those numbers. .
So let's live in the now but not force ourselves or others to quickly forget about the past because it's not necessary. I have heard several folks here already state that "Tim Tebow is not a Bronco so let's move on". That's ridicules, that's not how people operate, we like to reflect and need to grieve. It has been mere days since the Jets and Broncos finally re-re-finalized the trade for the third time.
Tim Tebow made a huge impact on folks here and they should be able to discuss how Tebow and the team affected them. I'm still having a hard time moving on from the Josh McDaniels hire which was only a few short years ago. And some still can't believe that Mike Shannahan was ever fired or Plummer was ever benched for Cutler. It's not surprising but it is completely understandable so Rant away.
