From my understanding, the Manning signing still leaves us plenty of cap room. Infact, we should still be under the minimum cap requirement.

Which begs the question, who else is left to sign?

DT

We all know we need a DT. The cupboard is bare. What we have left are journeymen backups who have been evaluated as having reached their ceiling and deemed expendable.

The only worthwhile name considering at DT is Amobi Okoye. The pluses are he is young and had 4 sacks last year as a part time starter/backup.

MLB

David Hawthorne is in a similiar boat as Okoye. Decent stats for a starter but nothing great. He is more well rounded than Joe Mayes and might be a good competition for the MLB slot.

RB

Cedric Benson is probably the best FA for the Broncos. He is a legit runner with a history of running hard and being durable. His knock has always been fumbles. Ughh. Ready to flip flop on him before I write another word.

The cupboard is bare. We have only the draft to improve this team.
