According to Mike Klis, citing two "League Sources" The Denver Broncos have expressed interest in acquiring CB Asante Samuel. The Broncos offered the Eagles two deals, One involving a 5th or 6th round draft pick, and another involving a veteran player(DJ Williams perhaps?). The Eagles however turned both deals down. The Broncos as of now feel pessimistic about a deal going down, trade talks could be rekindled however.
Samuel was a 4th round for the New England Patriots back in 2003, In 06 Samuel intercepted a career high 10 passes for the Patriots. Samuel was then franchised in 07, then signed a six year - 59.5 million dollar contract with the Eagles. Samuel now has two years left on his contract, a 10 million this year, and 11.5 in 2013. None of that money is guaranteed, so it's expected that Samuel will have to re-work his contract once a trade is made.
