I can honestly say I have less of clue who we might pick in this draft than any in the last three years. There are some hints I think we have that might indicate where we won't pick. Here are a few:
Barring an unforeseen player falling to us in one of these two positions, I really don't think we will address TE and WR in the draft.
-2012 4th round pick to move up in second round
Round 1: Courtney Upshaw DE
Round 2: Kendall Reyes DT
3rd Round - Robert Turbin RB
Round 4 - Josh Chapman DT
6th Round - B.J. Coleman QB
1st Round: Many people think there is no way Upshaw makes it out of the top 20. If he does, there is a good chance he will not make it past the Steelers. I personally think the steelers could pass on Upshaw in favor of offensive line help. Obviously great value here and our day one starter at LDE.
2nd Round: I am on record as being a big fan of Kendall Reyes and would not complain if we took him in the first. Reyes is a team captain, no injury history, tons of upside, and will play all three downs.
3rd Round: I used to think Turbin was a bodybuilder who happened to play football. I think I was wrong. Turbin has close to 70 career receptions out of the backfield and has shown a surprising abilty to block.
4th Round: I think Chapman would be a great long term value for the Broncos. Most peop know that Chapman was a 2nd round prospect until he tore his ACL (and played through it). I can see Chapman as a starter by the end of the season.
6th Round: I would personally prefer Dennis Dixon but Coleman offers some impressive upside.
