As we wait for the first day of the draft, it is a great time to be a broncos fan. I don't think I've been as excited as this since our super bowl days. That being said, EFX says they want impact players, and won't draft based on need. To me, that means they won't take a DT in the first round. After failing to strike a deal with Asante Samuel, and reports that EFX wanted to move up in the draft for Gilmore, obviously we want a corner. Then what about Janoris Jenkins. After doing some research on him, he might be worth a shot for the broncos. Why play it safe and end up with a mediocre talent, when we can get a top ten talent at 25. He is an elite cover corner shutting down the likes of Julio Jones and Aj Green at Florida. With Champ Bailey there to mentor him, and a strong veteran coach like Fox( and Del Rio), the broncos are loaded with strong leadership. Even Brian Dawkins has said he will help the broncos any way he can. It seems like a strong support system for a man with talent like a Joe Haden. I'm not saying he would be my first choice, but if the draft goes the way I predict and there's no real value at 25, then I'm all for it. Everybody will point to a guy like pacman jones, but I would point to a guy like randy moss. The difference is the support system. Pacman had no chance with titans, while moss had cris carter to mentor him. A motivated Jenkins and Champ would instantly make our corners one of the best tandems in the NFL. That would be awesome! I would be more excited for that, than a project DT a lot of folks seem to want us to pick. Well, whatever happens, I believe in EFX. And if this shocker was to play out, you heard it here.
